Any other person who incited a rebellion would have been arrested and face charges in a court of law. It’s astonishing that there is no way to hold this president accountable. Once again, he will get away with murder and most of his Republican Senators will just refuse to take action. We have a little noise from Sen. Lisa Murkowski. Is it too little, too late? I want him to resign,” Ms. Murkowski said in an inter-
view with The Anchorage Daily News. “I want him out. He has caused enough damage.” In the first Senate impeachment trial Murkowski announced that she could not vote to convict President Donald Trump but nevertheless called his actions “shameful and wrong.” Shameful and wrong. This is how I would describe the lack of courage of the Republican Senators who refused to listen to reason. Pat Toomey called the president’s more recent conduct “a significant escalation. I don’t think his unbelievable behavior from Wednesday could have been reasonably expected.” But wait, Mr.Toomey, remember Adam Schiff’s closing remarks from the first impeachment? “You know you can’t trust this President to do what’s
right for this country. You can trust he will do what’s right for Donald Trump. He’ll do it now. He’s done it before. He’ll do it for the next several months. He’ll do it in the election if he’s allowed to. This is why if you find him guilty, you must find that he should be removed. Because right matters. Because right matters and the truth matters. Otherwise, we are lost.” --Adam Schiff Perhaps Toomey missed this but lots of us didn’t. Where were the Republican Senators a year ago when the opportunity was there to remove this dangerous president? They were silent. They did not convict and now we are in a very dangerous time. MARLBOROUGH – Residents and the associates at The Branches of Marlboro, a Benchmark Senior Living Assisted Living and Mind & Memory Care community, received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine Jan. 15. The clinic was administered in partnership with CVS Health. Spirits were high as residents and associates celebrated their hope for the future and many felt fortunate to be among the first in the country to receive the vaccine. The community will host their second COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic on Friday, Feb. 5 when individuals will receive their second dose and more associates will be vaccinated.
