the choice is individual. The difference between the two is electrolysis is permanent hair removal; laser is permanent hair reduction. While lighter skin and darker hair present the best candidate for laser, electrolysis works on anyone. Laser can cover larger areas; electrolysis works well in smaller areas such as the face. Electrolysis is also the only FDA approved hair removal procedure. It is a gentle treatment and can be done multiple times per week. It is recommended that laser treatments be spaced apart 4-6 weeks. “Both work, but work for different reasons and different people,” David said. Sun exposure should be avoided for the first 24-48 hours after treatment as there may be some irritation afterwards. The length of appointments is determined on the size of the area to focus on. Clients should notice a difference within a few treatments. More Services Waxing, facials, microneedling, dermaplaning, peels, and eye lash lifts and tints are also offered. “Skin treatments are going to reveal a better you,” said David. “You will feel better – more relaxed, more refreshed.” Winter is a great time for some of the treatments when skin is not exposed to a lot of sun. “It’s a great time to refresh the skin and reveal fresh glowing skin underneath,” she said.
