What sets me apart from others doing what I do: I am one of the most down-toearth people you will ever meet. I roll up my sleeves and am not afraid to get my hands dirty. Founded and run by Holly Volpe, HV Design Group specializes in interior design, space planning, and project management. Services offered include interior enhancements, new home builds, full renovations, one-off projects, kitchens, baths, and commercial spaces. We have a trusted network of developers, contractors, architects, builders, and handymen to help execute the vision we create together, or to work collaboratively with anyone from the client’s network.

Who we are as a company: I am the founder and the principal designer. My team includes a diverse and talented support staff of designers, an operations manager, social media manager, and business manager who keep the wheels constantly turning. Why I chose my field: Being raised by a single parent and growing up with barely the basics, I didn’t have much. I cherished the little I had, and made it cozy, comfortable, and beautiful. Early on I learned how to mix in inexpensive pieces to create a well-designed space. Little did I know I would one day be doing it as a career. My passion is making others feel at peace in their environments. Life happens and we all perform best when we feel good in our surroundings - it makes us feel better about ourselves. I believe that organizing the chaos through ‘design’ has a significant impact on our clients’ daily lives.

The most rewarding part of what I do: There’s nothing more fulfilling than doing something you love. It’s not work when you get excited about the process and the outcome and see how much it can alter people’s daily lives. The moment I feel mentally stretched, I stop and pause, take a breath, and remember ‘why’ I do what I do. My next business goal: To grow my online business, ‘the Shop,’ which is an online boutique for home decor, bedding ensembles, and accessories. The Shop will feature hand-picked one-of-a-kind products that are fresh and new. Visitors to the Shop will see curated vignettes for every nook in their homes. They can explore the possibilities of bringing their own visions to life. Stay tuned as we revamp the Shop experience in the New Year. My Future goal is to write a book to inspire others to believe in the impossible. My favorite quote: Refresh, Renew, Redo The person who most influenced my career: Martha Stewart was everywhere when I was growing up. She is an amazing businesswoman who gained success through a wide variety of business ventures, including publishing, broadcasting, merchandising, and e-commerce. Her recipes, DIY crafts, home décor, and holiday party tips still inspire me every day.
