• County Manager’s Office The County Manager’s Office directs and coordinates daily operations of county departments. The office is located on the second flood of the courthouse annex on 135 NE Hernando Avenue, Suite. 203. The main number is (386) 758-1005 or (386) 758-1326. • Columbia County Public Library This department is responsible for the county library system’s operations and functions. There are three branches in Columbia County. Employees enforce county codes and ordinances. The office is on the basement floor of the courthouse annex. • Tourist Development The Tourist Welcome Center assists the public with information on the state’s geographical areas, tourist attractions and other information. Address:Address: 971 W. The veterans service officer is trained to assist veterans and is accredited by the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs and the American Legion. • Courthouse The Civil Division and Judicial Services are located on the second floor of the Columbia County Courthouse in downtown Lake City. This is the location for individuals who need the services of the Civil Division. Address: 173 NE Hernando Ave. (Room 225) Phone: (386) 719-7593 • Clerk of Courts The Clerk of Courts’ Office is a mainly fee-based office that operates from revenue generated from services provided to the community. The clerk’s responsibilities are to keep and maintain all county and Circuit Court records, the county recorder, financial officer for teen court and the financial officer for the Columbia Board of County Commissioners. The clerk also issues marriage licenses, acts as a passport agency and maintains other records. The office is located on the second floor of the Columbia County Courthouse. It provides voter education for organizations and provides elections for clubs, schools, colleges committees or political parties. Statistical voting information and growth patterns, address information and historical information also are kept at the election supervisor’s office in Lake City.

It also keeps all property appraisals up-to-date and on permanent file. The agency also collects county business tax receipts, real property taxes and non-ad valorem special assessments. The office is located on the first floor of the courthouse annex in downtown Lake City. The department responds to complaints involving county code and ordinance violations and works with the violator to correct the problem. Address: 971 W. Facilities inspections are conducted and prevention and corrective measures are taken to ensure workplace safety.
