Board Chair
elcome to the 2025 edition of our Member Directory! It is with great pride and excitement that I greet you as the President and CEO of the Sherman Chamber of Commerce. Though I joined the Chamber just six months ago, I’ve been deeply inspired by the strength and vibrancy of our organization and the incredible community we serve.
First, I want to acknowledge the strong foundation and outstanding reputation of the Chamber that existed when I stepped into this role. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of past leaders, staff, and members, the Chamber has long been a pillar of support and opportunity for Sherman businesses. My initial focus has been on auditing internal operations, ensuring our processes and programs are efficient, and building a capable and collaborative staff ready to meet the needs of our members.
This year, we have introduced several exciting additions to our program of work and refreshed some of our current offerings with a new perspective. These enhancements were developed with one goal in mind: to provide even greater value to our members and our community. Whether through innovative collaborations, expanded benefits, or reinvigorated programs, I believe you will find these changes to be both meaningful and impactful. I encourage you to explore the directory and take note of the resources and opportunities available to you.
As we look to the future, I am eager to continue fostering connections with our members and working hand in hand with leaders across all sectors of Sherman. It is a privilege to witness and support the incredible work being done to make this community the best it has ever been. Together, we can achieve remarkable things and ensure that Sherman remains a thriving and dynamic place to live, work, and do business.
Thank you for being an essential part of our Chamber family. Your support and engagement fuel our mission and make everything we do possible. I look forward to connecting with you, hearing your ideas, and celebrating your successes in the year ahead.
Here’s to a prosperous and inspiring 2025 for the Sherman Chamber of Commerce and our entire community!
Greetings, Sherman community! It’s an honor to welcome you to the 2025 edition of Sherman Magazine. As the Board Chair of the Sherman Chamber of Commerce, I am inspired daily by the energy, resilience, and vision that define our community.
Sherman is a city on the rise. From the growth of local businesses to the development of new opportunities, this is an exciting time to be part of our thriving community. At the Chamber, we are committed to fostering connections, encouraging innovation, and supporting the individuals and businesses that make Sherman such a special place to call home.
As a financial advisor with Utter, Pike and Dobbs Private Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, I’ve seen firsthand the power of strategic planning and partnership in achieving long-term success. That same principle applies here in Sherman, where we’re building a future full of promise, progress, and prosperity.
I encourage you to get involved, stay connected, and take pride in the incredible strides we’re making together. Whether through Chamber events, local initiatives, or simply supporting one another, each of us plays a vital role in shaping Sherman’s story.
Here’s to a remarkable 2025—may it be a year of growth, collaboration, and continued success for our entire community!

For years, Sherman Young Professionals has been a go-to group for networking, learning and leadership development. But if the name made you wonder, “Am I too old for this?” or “Do I need a fancy job title to join?” - you’re not alone.
That’s exactly why things are changing.
The group is undergoing an exciting transformation, with a new name and refreshed mission to welcome anyone looking to grow in their career, business, or leadership - no matter their age or background. Whether you’re a fresh college grad, a mid-career professional making a big move, or a small business owner carving your path, this group is for you.
“We’ve realized our name hasn’t always reflected the diversity of people we want to serve,” said a representative from the group. “This isn’t just for young professionals - it’s for anyone on a professional journey.”
While the name is still being decided, one thing is clear: the mission remains the same - to provide a space for networking, development, and community involvement in a way that’s accessible to all.
So, if you’ve ever hesitated to get involved because you weren’t sure you ‘fit’ - don’t. This group is evolving to fit you. Stay tuned for updates as the transformation unfolds!
Leadership Sherman is a professional development opportunity for dedicated leaders of Grayson County. The program provides an in-depth education of the local, county and state government, business and industry, educational institutions, civic organizations and social service agencies. BUSINESS
The city of Sherman has come a long way from its days as a little town on the prairie. City spokesperson, Nate Strauch, says the population and industry boom is county-wide and interested buyers come from all over.
“We know that the growth is moving up highways 75 and 35 and we’re kind of right in the path of that growth,” said Strauch. “This is a natural extension that’s something that we’ve been seeing a lot lately of outside entities from Dallas, outside of other states and even other countries coming here and buying large tracts of
manufacturing plant to town. Easy Foods is known for its flour and corn tortilla and corn tortilla chip production. The company will add more than 200 jobs and will build a nearly 200,000 sq. ft. facility on 30 acres in Progress Park VI.
Easy Foods will be built next to Molinos, a $25 million corn mill approved by SEDCO in August 2024.
To pave the way for these projects, SEDCO will be investing about $1 million for more roads and railroads. The certification will be the first of its kind at a Texas high school.

TEXOMA FC
2025 is the inaugural season for Texoma FC, the newest professional sports team in North Texas! First announced in 2023, the team plans to play in USL League One beginning in 2025 and USL W League in 2026 at Historic Bearcat Stadium.
Ben Watson, president of Texoma, and Simon Keizer, the club’s CEO, believe it will be successful because of the growing passion for soccer in the
region. Their long-term vision also goes well beyond sports. Watson and Keizer plan to build a 7,000-seat stadium in Sherman that could anchor a 65-acre mixed-use sports and entertainment district. It would have room for Texoma FC’s youth academy complex, a hotel, restaurants and retail.
Plans for the stadium and surrounding development are still in the early stages, and Texoma FC will play at least its first two seasons at Bearcat Stadium, the home venue for Sherman High School. If all goes to plan, club leaders hope to break ground on the new stadium in the first or second quarter of 2025 and have it ready for the 2027 season.
