DURHAM UNIVERSITY POST-OFFER VISIT DAYS

Visit Day Outline

10.45am-12.15pm

Welcome from Course Leader – Ms Jonquil Hinson This session will explain the structure and approach of the Marketing degree at Durham University. This will include information on modules and choices to show how the programme builds not only a foundation of knowledge in marketing and management, but also allows students to develop a focus to their marketing background. There will also be insights into how extra-curricular activities can be used to develop your experience of marketing in practice, and the benefits of adding a ‘Placement Year’ to your degree (either through Study Abroad or a Business Placement) will be explored. We will deliver a sample teaching session to provide a short example of how seminars work at Durham University. This session will be modelled on a seminar for the Year 1 core module ‘Marketing Principles’. There will also be opportunities to hear about the experiences of current Marketing students.
