SUSTAINABLE LIVING Sustainability is an increasingly important issue for those committed to social justice principles. Our average lifestyles in the global north are living significantly in excess of what is sustainable for our planet. Climate change is an issue that disproportionately affects those living in poverty in the global south. In seeking to live more sustainable lifestyles, we can reduce in our own small way our footprint on the planet and we can inspire and invite others to do likewise. It can be fun and interesting to look for ways to live more sustainably. Everything from where and how we shop, what we eat and what we grow in our garden, to where we go on holidays and where we invest our money impacts on the wider world. There are many projects and initiatives out there to encourage more sustainable living: below are a few to get started with!
