College notes • Lindsay Bannister of Westerville was named to the dean’s list at Ohio University for the fall 2012 semester. She is a 2012 graduate of Westerville South HIgh School. • Westerville resident Amie Bannister was named to the fall dean’s list at Bowling Green State University. A 2009 graduate of Westerville South High School, Bannister is a
senior majoring in early childhood development. • Central Ohio Technical College recently held nursing recognition ceremonies to honor Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Technology graduates from the Coshocton and Newark campuses. Among those honored at the ceremony held in December at
the Newark campus were Westerville residents Tshombosenga Djedi, Hannah Richards and Matthew Shirzadian. • Chelsea Staab of Westerville was named to the dean’s list for fall semester 2012 at Drury University. To be named to the list, a student must have earned a grade point average of 3.6 or better for the semester.

More than 30 speakers from a wide variety of occupations discussed their career, the pros and cons of the job and the path that led to their current occupation, with special emphasis on the importance of general and specific education and training.
