Karrer student wins science honors

Students entering the fourth through eighth grades for the 2011-12 school year will have an opportunity to learn about the FIRST Lego League robotics program on May 18 and 25. The information session for students and parents is scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. May 18 at Jerome High School, 8300 Hyland-Croy Road, or 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Coffman High School, 6780 Coffman Road. Parvate competed with more than 1,000 students in grades 512 at the state science competition. His project was “Auto-Tracking Solar Panels: Worth the Extra Cost?”
