Academy of St Martin in the Fields Thursday 25 January Pre-concert reception, 6.30pm On this evening, we are thrilled to welcome Academy of St Martin in the Fields: one of the world’s greatest chamber orchestras, led by Music Director and virtuoso violinist Joshua Bell. With a career spanning more than 30 years as a soloist, chamber musician, recording artist and conductor, Joshua Bell is one of the most celebrated violinists of his era.

London Symphony Orchestra Wednesday 21 February Pre-concert reception, 6.30pm The London Symphony Orchestra is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading orchestras. Love is most definitely in the air with Brahms’s ‘hearton-sleeve’ Violin Concerto and Ravel’s ambitious tale of erotic love, told on a vast orchestral canvas. To hear this music performed by the LSO will surely be one of the highlights of this season’s offerings before the transformtaion of the Hall.

Anatomy of the Orchestra Saturday 21 April Bristol Music Trust presents with The British Paraorchestra, as part of the Bristol New Music festival, a unique event featuring Steve Reich’s major minimalist composition, The Four Sections. ‘Anatomy of the Orchestra’ is a unique project and the first of its kind in UK, where audiences literally ‘climb ‘inside the orchestra and immerse themselves in its mechanisms and to discern its process.
