The Holy Spirit takes our prayers to the Father. When He does so He intercedes for us and takes our words and groanings to say what we in our limitations could not express.
romans 8:26-27
Have there been times in your life where you didn’t know how to word what you wanted to pray or even what to pray for in a situation? Did that keep you from praying? How might this truth help you in the future when you don’t know how to or what to pray for?
In Scripture prayer is a trinitarian act. We pray to the Father, through the Son, by the Spirit. This should give us confidence to pray since we are praying to our loving Father while Jesus is at His right-side interceding for us, while the Spirit takes our prayers and interprets them and brings them to the Father. Have you ever thought through the Trinitarian reality of your prayer?
