How should we then live? Until Jesus returns all Jesus followers must live by the Spirit. Our lives our guided, empowered, arranged, and transformed by the Holy Spirit.

In verse 17 it says that the desires of the flesh are opposed to the desires of the Spirit and vice versa. Look at the “works of the flesh” and the “fruit of the Spirit” in what ways do you see these in opposition to each other?
What does it look like to live by the Spirit?
When you look at the qualities that make up the fruit of the Spirit, in what way do you see Gods Spirit growing you in these virtues?
Spend time this week praying through the fruit of the Spirit: ask God to show how He has grown you in these areas and thank Him, ask Him where you have failed to show fruit and repent, and ask God to show you where you still need to grow and ask Him to grow His fruit in you.
Spend time praying for someone in your family/group this week for God to grow them in the fruit of the Spirit.
