Who is Jesus? Jesus is fully human. He is like us in every way except that He did not sin. Since sin robs us of our full humanness, this means that Jesus is the most fully human person to have ever lived.

The Scripture tells us that Jesus lived a fully human life and that He was like us in every way except that He did not sin. Sometimes that is hard to imagine. What parts of human life do you find it hardest to imagine Jesus going through?
When you are struggling with temptation or hardship do you honestly think of praying first in order to find a compassionate ear. How can meditating on Jesus humanity help us in this area?
Why is it really good news for us that Jesus is fully human?

Spend time reading in one of the 4 Gospels this week with an eye for Jesus humanity. Read a story and meditate on how Jesus experienced it (ex: when he preached in his hometown, they tried to kill him. Think about how it felt to have people you grew up with trying to kill you).
Jesus is our compassionate high priest. If we are disciples of Jesus, we should be like Him in His compassion. How can we grow in our compassion for the people God has placed in our life this week? Try to think of someone specific who is going through a hard time and think through how to be a compassionate help to them.
