Mountain Range High School

Baseball

Mountain Range opened the baseball season with a 14-1 win at Overland March 14. Joshua Harris had a base hit and three RBIs for the Mustangs.

Jayden Hansen had three hits and drove in two runs, while Colby Gorham had a base hit and two RBIs. Liam Childs had Overland’s only base hit and only RBI.

Girls soccer

Air Academy blanked Mountain Range 3-0 in Colorado Springs March 13,. Alexis Byrd scored two of the Kadets’ goals. Langley Grow had the other.

MRHS goalkeeper Maddie Gauna had nine saves.

Lacrosse

Mountain Range won its rst game of the season, a 20-6, home- eld win over Boulder March 15. No stats were available.

Fairview beat the Mustangs 7-5 in Westminster March 13. Teddy Wirth and Hook Dancy scored twice for the Knights. No stats were available for Mountain Range.

Boys swimming Boulder downed Mountain Range 158-88 in Boulder March 14.

Logan Harveson won the 100- butter y in a time of 58.41 seconds. he also won the 200- freestyle, fashioning a time of 1:55.32. Andrew Sawyer won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.45 seconds. e 200- medley relay team (Ryan Vuong, omas Vuong, Luke Powers and Max Vejnar) won with a time of 2:07.73. e 400- freestyle relay team won its race in a time of 3:55.27.

Girls soccer ornton routed Lincoln 9-1 in ornton March 14, thanks to three goals from Camela Montenegro and from Genesis Holguin-Ioya. Camryn Montelongo scored twice, and Maraiyln Luzano Ruvalcaba scored as well. No stats were available for the Lancers.

Boys volleyball ornton topped Niwot 25-22, 2513, 24-26, 25-18 on the Cougars’ oor March 14.

Jeremy Soung led the Trojans with 11 kills. Teague Casey and Braxton McGonigle had 10. Jenu Ngialah led the Cougars with eight kills. Sage Xiong was next with seven.

Four members of the Horizon High School girls basketball team .. Morgan Ives ( rst team), Natalie ornton (second team), Madyn Kassatly (second team) and Kaitlyn Frydenlund (honorable mention) were named to the Front Range League’s all-conference squads.

Riverdale Ridge High School’s Brihanna Crittendon is the class 4A/5A Longs Peak League player of the year. She also was nominated to play in e Show, an all-star basketball game featuring the top players in the state of Colorado.

Holy Family’s Essynce Contreraz andFiona Snashall were among the chosen players for e Show’s allstar girls basketball game for classes

1A through 4A. Legacy’s Olivia Mortensen also made the roster for the all-star game featuring ninth, 10th- and 11th-graders.

Westminster’s Alexei Trujilo and Legacy’s Madison Gage sere piocked for the senior-level version of e Show. Games are Friday and Saturday, march 24 and 25, at Denver North High School.

Boys basketball Mountain Range High School’s Eric Dellett and Moses were secondteam, all-Front Range League performers this season in voting by the league coaches.

Marcus Hinh of Riverdale Ridge earned rst team, all-Longs Peak conference honors.
