What’s Happening? number of golfers turning to technology to improve their game, Colleton River’s Learning Center will be of tremendous benefit on this front as well. The resulting “Practice Park” at the Nicklaus complex will provide Colleton River with an amenity unparalleled in the Lowcountry. Its proximity to the Halfway Café is an added bonus making the complex a comfortable place for family and friends to come together to practice and play, and enjoy an atmosphere of congeniality and camaraderie.

There are many ways to find out what’s going on at the Club, both digitally and in print. If you have not downloaded and registered to use the Colleton River app, be sure to pick up one of the how-to booklets in the clubhouses and get started. You can make dining, court, and tee time reservations right from your phone, as well as see all upcoming Club events. Of course there are still event flyers and the Events & Happenings booklets printed for your convenience, and the weekly email blasts tell all.

The Dye clubhouse will also get a facelift this summer while the course work is underway. Lastly, as we reported to you at the Annual Meeting, we’ve made great progress and continue to work with local Fire Department authorities to establish a permanent fire station facility off the Nicklaus maintenance area. We will keep you informed as this all comes about. Keep in the know! We have a number of communication outlets. While the Monday eblast is probably the first channel you think of, there are many more. Pick up an Events & Happenings booklet from the Nick Front Desk or from one of the boxes located inside each security gate. Flyers are available at the Front Desk, posted on bulletin boards around the campus and digital displays are in both Golf Shops and the Fitness Center. ForeTees provides golf updates and weather information while the Club App gives you handy access to activities via your mobile devices. Have a question about a policy, rule or regulation, or need a Club form? They are easy to find. Just go to the Member website home page and click on “Rules, Regs., Policies…” where you will also find financial reports and governing documents. Access Board and Committee minutes just as easily by clicking on “Events, News & Information” and following the “Board of Directors” link. Town hall and annual meetings are always very informative as are the periodic Club letter updates. And, of course, The River. Stay warm and take heart, spring is right around the corner!

Congratulations! Please join us in congratulating Erica Pepper, Events Manager, on earning her CCM (Certified Club Manager) in January! CCM is a highly sought after club management designation that takes years of classes and education. It is achieved by taking an exam covering ten management competencies including law, sports, communication, facility management, etc. ColletonRiverClub.com | THE RIVER
