At God Centered Life (GCL), our passion is the gospel and our vision is all generations living for God.

God Centered Life, the broader media ministry of Pastor Josh Moody, has witnessed an exciting period of growth and development over the last year. Each day God Centered Life distributes Bible teaching from the pulpit ministry of College Church through an array of media outlets including the radio, the ministry’s website and other online platforms. The core tool in sharing the gospel is the daily 25-minute teaching program, now heard on nine radio outlets as well as on the internet. Most importantly, the efforts of GCL effectively touch lives around the world.

Ministry Impact

While global reach is an exciting reality of media ministry, the most important measure of success is surely the lives being touched as the Bible is taught. The following responses to the ministry of God Centered Life highlight the Lord’s work in just a few of those reached. A young man recently shared with Pastor Josh how God released him from the darkness of his past to new life in Christ through the ministry of GCL. In another instance, a couple from out of Wheaton shared how the husband came back to the Lord through listening to Pastor Josh.

God Centered Life’s internet presence continues to expand. The site offers a daily devotional now accessed by nearly 1,100 people, resources to encourage spiritual growth and the daily broadcast so listeners can catch portions of messages missed on the radio. The potential for reach is virtually unlimited online. During 2019, the website saw 27,300 users for the 12 months ended December 31, 2019. These users represented all 50 states in the U.S. and 160 foreign countries.

God Centered Life is offered each day online at the GCL website, but is also distributed at OnePlace.com, where you can hear the most recent program as well as archived sessions. Visit www.oneplace.com/god-centered-life/ to hear the teaching and share it with others. OnePlace is not only a convenient place to listen to Pastor Josh online but is also a tool to extend impact and reach. Since inception nearly 1,000 individuals have registered as followers of God Centered Life and have grown in the Lord through the teaching offered. OnePlace offers the broadcast through online streaming, downloadable MP3s, podcasting, a smartphone app, Roku, Alexa, Google Play, and several other delivery modes. Altogether, more than 50,000 specific plays of teaching audio have been delivered since beginning to broadcast in November 2018.

Radio

The radio station syndicate has expanded over the past year and now features releases on Moody Radio in Chicago, as well as Cleveland, OH. The Cleveland signal is replicated through a series of towers covering all northern Ohio from the Toledo area across into western Pennsylvania. In Des Moines, GCL is aired on a powerful AM signal with a wide listenership that covers much of the central portion of the state. Finally, the broadcast is also carried on a small Christian station in the Canton, GA, area.

The weekly radio listenership on the stations airing the broadcast is estimated to be more than 50,000. While some feel radio is no longer a vital medium of communication, it still reaches more than 90% of all Americans over the age of 18 every week. For years to come, radio will continue to be a vital ministry tool, even as other audio teaching outlets grow alongside it. As additional resources become available, more stations will be added.

About the God Centered Life Team

The ministry of GCL is led by Stann Leff, serving as executive director, who oversees a capable team, all of whom serve the ministry on a part-time basis. Todd Busteed plays the role of on-air host of the broadcast and engineers the technical side of the program; former College Church member Dick Epps assists in stewardship development for the ministry and Robb Hansen and the firm Next Level Insights provide station relations services, broadcast strategy and website support. GCL is strengthened by the support of its godly board: Pastor Josh Moody, Nancy Singer, Howard Costley, David Gieser, Bruce Howard and Tom Paulsen.
