You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. (Matthew 5:14-16, NLT)
Over the past year, Pastor Miller and the committee members have spent time in prayer, thinking and action with evangelism front of mind. Prayer that many would learn of the character of our good Father and the sacrificial love of the Father’s Son, Jesus, and through the teaching of the Word and transformed hearts, would treasure Jesus as Lord and Savior! Thinking and discussing ideas to equip and encourage College Church’s evangelistic pursuits. Action during Missions Festival
as guest speakers taught on evangelism, committee members formed relationships with local evangelists and as committee members acted on opportunities to share the gospel with those in their lives.
In these recent and unique times, the committee is meeting virtually. We are thinking and praying for new ways to equip and encourage College Church in evangelism, in engagement with and support of our local evangelists, as well as personally connect at a distance to share the gospel with our neighbors.
