Junior High Pastor

KMs has had a wonderful year of ministry. From the “Wheel of Misfortune” (ask a KMs student!) to studying the Bible together each week, from eating lots of donuts to doing discipleship in small groups, and from playing goofy group games to learning from Pastoral Resident Mike Solis on retreats, KMs has had many highlights this year. As students and adult leaders, we have had a great time connecting with each other and growing in Christ. Students have studied the Bible in both large and small group settings, sang and prayed together, served in various capacities around the church and continued to lead Christian clubs and outreach events at their public schools. It has been a privilege to see God at work in our junior high students!

Over the past weeks and months, KMs has adapted to the challenges of online ministry. Our Wednesday evening gathering has been replaced by KMs Live, a weekly program streamed live on YouTube and led by our staff, volunteers and even some students. Virtual small groups, online devotions and fun weekly challenges have kept KMs connected with each other and focused on the gospel.

At the core of the KMs ministry is an amazing team of adult leaders. Megan Christoff is an outstanding ministry associate, and Audrey McEuen excels as the program coordinator. Students are discipled by twenty adults who lead small groups, study the Bible with students and pray for the ministry.

To all the adults who worked with KMs this year, thank you for investing your time, energy and wisdom into students. Your work is meaningful beyond what you know. Parents, thank you for making KMs and College Church a priority for your family. I am grateful to be a part of your children’s discipleship. Students, thank you for being involved in KMs. You make my job so much fun and your growth in Christ gives me great encouragement. And finally, College Church, thank you for supporting me in my work. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement and the opportunity to serve here. I am grateful for you all, my church family.
