As your head usher, I am humbled by the weekly sacrifices our Usher Corps makes in its pursuit of service and hospitality. I would like to recognize Ed Simon, assistant head usher, for all he does, not only being primarily responsible for the weekly staffing of more than 35 men and women to serve as your ushers but also his willingness to fill in for absent ushers almost on a weekly basis.

help if you feel ushering is a calling for you. Please reach out to me, Ed Simon, or any of the current ushers, and let us know of your interest. We will find a place for you to... “contribute to the need of the saints and seek to show hospitality.”

Along with Ed, we rely on other ushers to take on extra weekly responsibility as the crew chief at one of the four Sunday services. Before dinner we also have an opportunity to hear from a member of the pastoral staff as they share about their ministry and lead us in prayer. This past year we had a series of very interesting programs, several musical programs, a wonderful travelogue, a visit from Queen Elizabeth II, and we are looking forward to a presentation on C. S. Lewis and evangelism. Each summer we also try to have an informal
