Our Marvel Avengers Family Fun Night We love the Avengers. My family has watched the whole series, leading up to the final Avengers movie. Naturally, we were one of the first to order the Exclusive Blu-Ray/DVD/Novel Combo Pack at Walmart. We also received a copy of the limited edition Marvel Graphic Novel, a perk only available at Walmart. There is also an amazing Super Hero Augmented Reality app, which is a scavenger hunt your family can play in Walmart. You can download the app from Google Play or iTunes. You play with the Avengers characters in specially marked spots in Walmart, usually on displays near Avenger-themed gear and goods. Look for the trigger spots in the following places: Shopping Cart Rail Signage (at store entrance) Sensor Shrouds (advertisements on security sensors at store entrance) Pallet Train Display (Hasbro/Marvel/DVD/Mad Engine) Toy Trend Pod New Release End Cap (5D HVE/NR) Content Pallet (Blu-Ray/DVD Pallets or Blu-Ray/DVD Extravaganza) Costume Pallet (D18 Disguise ½ Pallet) Content Stickers Apparel (4 Way Signage) MarketSide Pizza at Walmart Deli
You hunt in all of the above sections in the store. Once you find a display and aim your phone, your Super Hero Augmented Reality app comes alive. Pizza boxes become city skyscrapers and 3D Avenger characters surround you for a photo. It is awesome.

Marvel Avengers Family Fun Night Family time is a big priority in our home, which is why we plan weekly family nights and monthly family outings. This month, thanks to Walmart and Disney’s Marvel Avengers, we are planning an Avengers Family day in conjunction with the September 25 release of Exclusive Blu-Ray/DVD/Novel Combo Pack at Walmart. I wanted this family night to have an action adventure Avenger theme that would let the kids have a great time and feel like they were super heroes for the day. I also wanted to incorporate the new “Super Hero AR” Avengers Augmented Reality app for iPhone, ipad and Android into our fun night as much as possible. The app is really fun and works in conjunction with Avenger displays found throughout Walmart. Whenever you find a display, you can point your phone at the display to activate the AR technology.

The Avengers Family Fun Night Last night we had a blast at our Walmart. The boys and I headed to the store after downloading the Super Hero Augmented Reality App that can be played exclusively at Walmart stores. By using your iPhone/iPad/Android you can find the app’s trigger points throughout the store and watch how the app interacts with the signage. The Avengers Super Hero Augmented Reality App has questions that pop up when pointed at different display trigger points. Once completed it shows you what Super Hero you most resemble. The app also interacts with the MarketSide pizza box offering 3D images and a scene from the movie. You have to check this out for yourself!

The Avengers at Walmart If you haven’t heard about the upcoming release of the Marvel Avengers Movie, then you probably don’t have a child or a TV. It is the in thing right now. There is even a brand new fun app you can download and use at participating Walmart stores.
This was The Super Hero Augmented Reality App starts the most with you taking a quiz to determine which Avenger character you are. After you start the app you go fun family to one of the special Avenger displays in Walmart scan with your smartphone. Once scanned, shopping and the image will be animated and present you with questions. The app will allow you to see experience three which Avenger you are, based on the answers to the questions. It will allow you to share or save ever! the photo of you as the Avenger. The Avengers DVD sign at Walmart will bring additional 3D animations. There is also a section where you can take a photo of your friends with the Avengers. This was the most fun family shopping experience ever!

Avengers Family Fun Night with Walmart I’m a huge Marvel The Avengers fan. Well actually, the entire family is. My husband and I enjoyed the movie so much we saw it more than once. Now that the Exclusive Blu-Ray/DVD/Novel Combo Pack arrives at Walmart’s nationwide on September 25th, I thought it was time for an Avengers themed family fun night. I arrived at Walmart with my brother and saw some incredible Avengers signage in the toy department. I downloaded the free app to my iPhone and started playing. After seeing the cool signage in the toys I headed for the deli to play with the Marketside pizza boxes. See the result below.

The Avengers Augmented Reality App My family had a wonderful Marvel Avengers Adventure in Walmart with the Super Hero AR app. While shopping we were on the lookout for all things Avengers. We looked everywhere for The Avengers products. It was an interactive treasure hunt that my son and I enjoyed immensely. The trigger points in the toy aisle and the DVD section were easy to locate and we had a great time bringing the posters to life. While I liked taking the quiz to find out which character I would be, my son really got a kick out of taking pictures with the Hulk! Having this app to play with definitely brought our shopping experience to a whole new level. It kept my son entertained during the less interesting aisles. It also made me that much more excited about seeing the movie.

Family Fun Avenger Style I decided to give the boys an Avenger Family Fun Night. BEFORE I headed out to Walmart, I downloaded the Super Hero Augmented Reality App as a surprise for Eli! (Shh…I’ll tell you all about it in a minute.) The first thing we’ll need for this Avenger Family Fun Night is in the deli section of Walmart where you’ll find the Marketside “take and bake” pizzas. These babies are HUGE and also have The Avenger characters on select boxes! These boxes are also special because they can unlock special content on the Avenger Augmented Reality App. Now, we should head over to the toy aisle. Once you download The Super Hero Augmented Reality App, it tells you what displays to scan in the store. Then, you’ll be able to tell which Avenger YOU are, take your picture as an Avenger (your head, Avenger body), and play cool games. It’s simply amazing! It’s like the coolest scavenger hunt I’ve ever seen! Eli had a blast running around the store looking for these displays.

Marvel’s The Avengers Fun Family Night! The countdown is on. On September 25, 2012, the Blu-Ray DVD of Marvel’s The Avengers, is going to be released and I know I will be the first one waiting in line to get it at Walmart. Let me tell you that I am sort of obsessed with the Avengers. My husband and I went to see it on opening night and then returned to see it three other times when it was in the theaters. It truly is an AMAZING movie! If you liked any of the other Marvel’s movies such as Iron Man 1 and 2, Captain America, and Thor, I will tell you this movie blows them away. We truly love all of the Marvel’s movies I just mentioned and have watched them many times. However, to see all the Super Heroes together in The Avengers was truly special. In preparation for The Avengers launch on 9/25, I went to Walmart to do some shopping to have a “pre” Avengers party! I went to gear up for the party and as I entered, I was so excited because there was so much signage in preparation for the DVD launch! I immediately found out about a brand new app called Super Hero AR (Augmented Reality) that can be downloaded on your iPhone, iPad, or Droid devices. You can use the app throughout Walmart to find certain trigger points on different Avengers displays. You scan each trigger point with your phone and complete a quiz of nine questions. Then the app tells you which Super Hero you are.

Avengers Family Fun Night Surprise All my kids love the Avengers. My husband loves the Avengers. Let’s face it…who doesn’t love the Avengers? From Ironman to the Hulk to my son’s personal favorite, Captain America, the Marvel Avengers is our family’s favorite movie and characters! I decided to surprise the kids with an entire evening packed full of Avengers adventures and decor! Plus I thought it was such an awesome deal that there was an exclusive Blu-Ray/DVD/Novel Combo Pack at Walmart! When I heard about the new Super Hero Augmented Reality App for my iPhone, I honestly thought that it would be confusing and hard to use. (I am NOT very good with technology…) This app for my iPhone is made to be used exclusively at Walmart. When you click on the app, a screen comes up with four options: Take quiz, Join the Avengers, Free Game and Product Activation. Right away, I spotted Avengers everywhere in Walmart! There were large cardboard cutouts and signs with the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. I immediately whipped out my phone and went to the first option on my new app, “Take Quiz: Which Avenger are you?” I scanned the cardboard cutout of the Hulk and unlocked a question for me to answer about myself. The quiz contained nine questions to be unlocked by scanning three different signs in the store. These signs were located in apparel, food, Halloween, and toys. It was kind of like a scavenger hunt for me!

Calling All Avengers! My family loves the Avengers. Like LOVES the Avengers. I could tell you about all the toys and merchandise we own but I will just tell you that right now, in my guest bathroom, we have an Avenger soap pump. There. Enough said. Â The excitement has been building in our household as each Marvel movie has been released and has exceeded all expectations. Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Incredible Hulk, and Captain America - these movies are all family favorites! We have been eagerly {and possibly a little bit impatiently} awaiting the release of The Avengers!

Throwing a Super Avengers Party With Marvel’s The Avengers DVD making its mark on store shelves, we threw ourselves a little super hero party this past weekend. My kids love super heroes! Okay, we didn’t really need a reason for a party but The Avengers were still the perfect inspiration for a little extraordinary fun. If you have been inside Walmart lately, you might have noticed Avengers in the air...or at least all over the store. Walmart has some fun options for super hero fans young and old. Right now you can download the Super Hero Augmented Reality app from the Apple app store or Google Play. We found so many great Avengers products! The pizza, masks, toys and cartoons were all available at the store. The Avengers Super Hero Party The Avengers. Since The Avengers Blu-Ray/DVD release is on Tuesday, we had a little pre-party fun to celebrate the release. The Super Hero Augmented Reality Trigger Points arrived in Walmart on Tuesday and are such a fun way to go through the store. Your shopping trip will never be the same again! The Avengers Family Fun Night seemed a perfect time to invite another family over, play a few games, and give the children plenty of opportunities to be their own favorite hero. It was the perfect opportunity to pull out the Iron Man tablecloth and disk launchers we had stashed away. All we had to do was add a few things for even more fun!

Avengers Family Fun Night Ideas I am a geeky mom of a geeky family that loves super heroes! Avengers is the ultimate when it comes to super hero movies and we are beyond excited for it come out on DVD & Blu-Ray, this Tuesday, September 25, 2012. To celebrate the upcoming release, our family held an Avengers Family Fun Night! Here’s what we did and what you can do too: #1: Download The Avengers Super Hero Augmented Reality App Once you get to Walmart, you can look for trigger points within the store and use the app to play the “What Avenger Are You?” game or unlock other special content. #2: Have Marketside Pizza for an easy dinner In the deli area at Walmart, they sell Marketside Pizza which you bake at home in your oven. We’ve bought Marketside Pizza several times and been very happy with it. #3: Quick & Easy Avengers Costume Play We weren’t looking to go all out on Avengers costumers for our family fun night, but the kids wanted to get into the fun with some quick and easy Avenger dress up. In the party supply aisle at Walmart, we picked up a 4-pack of these cool Avengers masks.

Shopping for an Avengers Party I headed to Walmart with this super-cool new app on my phone. It’s called “Super Hero Augmented Reality App.” Once you download it onto your iPhone or Android device, you can search for trigger points inside Walmart and figure out which Avenger you are. You scan these trigger points with your phone, then it animates and asks you a series of questions. It’s really flipping cool. Styles found out that he’s Thor. He kind of looks like Thor. OK well, not really. They both have blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. That’s really where the similarities begin. And end.

Calling All Super Heroes! To begin my adventure into the world of The Avengers, I downloaded the new Super Hero Augmented Reality App which, can I just mention makes me feel like I’m in some futuristic movie. The app is full of all sorts of niftiness; such as games where you can play as one of the Avengers, a function that makes your pizza box or DVD/Blu-Ray cover come to life and many more fun things. So with my new app on my phone and grocery list in hand, I went to Walmart where I had quite a bit of fun shopping for all Avenger products. The Augmented Reality function is so cool to use that I could very easily be distracted……….*THIS IS SO COOL*………oh yeah, distracted from what I should be doing. I should be talking about the impending Blu-Ray/DVD release on September 25th and the fact that you can get an exclusive graphic novel when you pre-order it now at Walmart. Wait, did you just catch that, yep! I just said EXCLUSIVE GRAPHIC NOVEL!!!! Guys, I was fortunate to get one sent to me a bit early to check out. Let me tell you, IT IS AWESOME! Anyone, whether you are a long time reader of comics or not, will love this. It brings you right into the thick of things with the Avengers. No, it isn’t the graphic novel version of the movie if that’s what you are wondering. It is so much more than that. It is an amazing read, and as with all of Marvel’s work, it has a bit of humor too.

Are You an Avengers Fan? Our family is a group of huge Marvel movie fans. We first fell in love with Iron Man a few years ago, and since then each installment of individual Avengers characters has lured us in more and more. So it should be no surprise that the members of our household are all anxiously counting the days until next week’s release of The Avengers. All of The Avengers together in one huge blockbuster? It doesn’t get much better than that! Walmart had the box sets and all our favorite characters were represented. Hanging above the pizza was a cool sign showing all of the characters. The most interesting thing about the sign is that it’s interactive! You can download the Super Hero AR (Augmented Reality) app to your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone and use it as you walk around the store. The goal is to interact with different signs and then answer questions to determine which Avenger you are. You can do so much with this awesome app. We love to play the fun shooter game using our own living room as the battlefield! How cool is that?

Marvel’s The Avengers Marvel’s The Avengers is coming out on DVD tomorrow! I headed out to Walmart to purchase all the supplies for a party. Before I headed out the door I downloaded the Super Hero Augmented Reality App onto the iPhone. The Super Hero Augmented Reality App has four different options when it’s launched. The first option is to take a quiz to find out which Avenger you are. To take the quiz you need to find scan trigger points on signs at Walmart. Each scan point reveals three questions, and when you answer all nine questions it tells you which Avenger you are. I took the app along with me to Walmart, along with a map of where all the scan points could be found. There’s also an option to join the Avengers. The Avengers pop up on your screen ready for a photo opportunity. You and your friends and family members can pose with The Avengers characters for a virtual reality photo. There’s also a free game that the kids will love. Pick your Avengers character, and then battle it out against Loki’s Drones. The last option is activated by scanning The Avengers DVD or BlueRay cover or a Marketside Pizza box from Walmart. When you scan the image a 3D animated scene appears complete with Avenger characters. You can move your iPhone or iPad around to get different views, or even scan in or move out to see the scene from different angles.

Celebrate the Release of The Avengers With the Augmented Reality App To celebrate the release of the much anticipated The Avengers on Blu-Ray Combo DVD at Walmart, the COOLEST app ever has been released! Download The Avengers Augmented Reality App and check this out! Basically, the app triggers some awesome activities when you point your iPhone, iPad or Android phone at certain The Avengers merchandise within the store! For instance, I pointed mine at Marketside Pizza with The Avengers characters on it and up popped a 3D city with a fight scene. It really is awesome and you – I mean, ahem – your kids will love using it throughout the store! Use the “Join The Avengers ” option on the app to activate the activities. All you have to do is download the app, log in and then find the merchandise in the store and point your phone at it. Different activities come up with each item that you point your phone to. It is just so unique and fun, and I want to hear all about what you found when you used it at Walmart. Also with the app, you can take The Avengers Quiz and test your knowledge and play a Free Game too! Very cool! After picking up some awesome The Avengers merchandise for my kids, along with a totally unrelated Angry Birds game, we headed home to have some fun! When you are at the display, look for the AWESOME The Avengers Graphic Novel! I received this book and it is a fun collector item with colorful photos, info on the movie and more! Every The Avengers fan should have one!

Avengers Party! I was recently asked to head to Walmart for supplies for an Avengers themed party and to check out the new Avengers Augmented Reality App exclusively for Walmart. The Avengers Augmented Reality app is super cool. I am pretty sure after hearing about it that my husband is going to be heading to Walmart to wander around and check out all the ways to unlock material. Basically, you aim your phone at different triggers (The Avengers display, posters, products), and it will show you a different- alteredimage. So you see a plain display in front of you, but on your phone, The Avengers are popping up at you! Or the DVD cover you see? It plays a fun little movie! All you need to do is download the Augmented Reality App here (be sure to download all content at home while you have Wi-Fi), head to Walmart, and point your app screen at Avengers displays and posters around Walmart to unlock new material!

Got an Avengers Fan on Your Hands? Don’t Miss This! I decided to take Kayla with me to pick up The Avengers, and we actually had a lot of fun because as it turned out there was this neat Avengers app I could download for free that had different features you could trigger by stopping at different areas throughout the store. When I’m shopping with Kayla, anything I can do to create entertainment is welcomed so I took full advantage of it.
What a great form of entertainment for the family!
We were able to activate The Avengers app by scanning the Blu-Ray/DVD & Graphic Novel Combo Pack. I still have no idea how this technology works but I can say it’s amazing!
There were a bunch of different locations around the store that had trigger points to allow you to do different things with the Augmented Reality app like in the electronics department, the costume section and the toy section. We had so much fun! What a great form of entertainment for the family!

Date Night with The Avengers I headed to Walmart to make my DVD purchase and try out the Super Hero Augmented Reality App. Before leaving I quickly and easily downloaded the app to my smartphone. At Walmart, I was able to find some of the special signs and displays that allowed me to scan with my phone and play along. There are trigger points all over the store and they are pretty hard to miss even if you aren’t looking for them!

Family Fun with Marvel The Avengers We had a super-secret mission this week. The Avengers was released on Blu-Ray and DVD on Tuesday. In honor of this fact, we were assigned just one task. Our mission? A storewide super hero scavenger hunt. Our tool of choice? The Avengers Augmented Reality App. (Yes, it’s as cool as it sounds.) Of course, not everyone in the city had the key to unlock the REAL instructions to our mission. But we did. So we got right down to work. Looks like any other page, really. Until I took out the decoder, that is. That’s The Avengers Augmented Reality app, for the uninitiated. Then things really got interesting!

Our Avengers App Adventure We have been looking forward to The Avengers Blu-ray/DVD release date (9/25) for months. My husband and two oldest sons saw the movie at the theaters, but the younger kids and I did not. Everyone in the family was excited to see the movie again or for the first time! The app lets you share pictures via email, Facebook and Twitter. This is a fun Marvel Avengers adventure for the kids! At another Avengers app trigger point, we found a ton of different super hero toys including talking action figures. Scanning the trigger points will unlock different questions for the “Which Avenger Are You?� quiz.

My Avengers Movie Night! The new Avengers movie came out on the 26th and I have to say that my family was so excited! We found out that there is this cool App that you can download. There are trigger points around Walmart that interact with the app. You can take a quiz to find out what Super Hero you are and do other cool stuff too! My son, who has the most reading points in his class (it’s ok to brag a little) saw that if you purchase the Blu-Ray/ DVD/Novel combo pack exclusively at Walmart you get a graphic novel. So we marked the calendar, downloaded the Super Hero AR app, and patiently waited! After everyone finished their homework we headed to Walmart. The kids had so much fun finding the signs around the store that had trigger points. It was more than just buying a movie; it was a very exciting and fun experience for them.

A Family Fun Night Starring The Avengers A couple of years ago we needed to invest in a new TV. My husband, always on the forefront of technology, decided we should get a 3D one. When I had the opportunity to head to Walmart with The Avengers Augmented Reality App (available for iOS and Android) to do some shopping, I had no idea the fun that was in store. If you have never used an augmented reality app…oh my…it is so much fun. My daughter had a blast in Walmart using this to find out what The Avengers Super Hero she is most like. Ends up it’s Iron Man…no surprise there! So before we left to shop we downloaded the app onto our iPod Touch. The app gives you a good idea of what you’re looking for - the trigger points in the store. The mission is to complete a quiz in three parts each containing three questions. There are specific signs in areas of the store (Halloween merchandise, clothing, toys, electronics, and the deli pizza case), where you can scan a symbol and the questions will then come on to the app. The symbol produces 3D on your app and ‘pops’ out at you - it’s very neat. Hold the app over top and ....voila - a super cool city scene from the movie with a Super Hero on top of a building.

Movie Night with The Avengers Let’s just make this clear. I don’t really need an excuse to buy a movie with eye candy like Robert Downy, Jr. or Chris Evans. However, having them in a great movie together with even more eye candy and a few shopping bonuses just makes it that much more fun. So how can you celebrate the launch of The Avengers on Blu-Ray? While at Walmart look for the special trigger points throughout the store. (You can find them in the electronics, toys, apparel, pizza and Halloween sections of the store.) The trigger points will unlock quiz questions which will help you figure out which Avenger you are. Another trigger point lets you take your picture with the Avengers. There’s even an augmented reality game!

The Super Hero Augmented Reality App Marvel’s The Avengers was released on DVD and Blu-ray this past Tuesday, which is some super exciting news. I absolutely loved the movie in the theater, and couldn’t wait to watch it at home. To bring some more fun to the table, you have got to download The Avengers Augmented Reality App, which can be found in the Google Play store or iTunes under “Super Hero AR.” Walmart stores are also carrying The Avengers Exclusive Blu-ray Combo Gift Pack with Graphic Novel. The kids thought this was so cool and couldn’t wait to open it up!

The augmented reality app will bring your shopping experience to life by allowing you to scan The Avengers symbol on select Avengers merchandise, with your Android or iPhone (and other apple products). The Avengers symbol displayed on products showed us more content based on the movie on my phone, which could be enjoyed in the Walmart shopping atmosphere. Once you scan select merchandise, you can interact with your phone by playing games, taking quizzes, or watching 3-D clips straight off the products in store, via your phone! The app is so neat!

Dinner and a Movie Marvel The Avengers on a Budget and a Fun Movie App Being a Mom of two teens and a Princess has its challenges and since we are always busy with Soccer Practice or Track Running Club, our family time is precious to us. When we get an unexpected phone call that practice is canceled for the evening, I always try to make something special for the Kids and the entire family to have fun together. I saw this super cool APP for the Avenger Movie the other day and since the movie was to be released today (9/25/2012), I thought that would be the perfect Family activity, Dinner and a Movie and some fun with a super Cool iPad/iPhone/iPod App (also available on Android). I grabbed the Hubby, (Teen number two), and the princess and handed each of them an Apple device and off to Walmart we went. Neither one of them had a clue that I had previously loaded The Avengers App onto their iPad/iPod for some fun on our Walmart trip. Once we arrived at Walmart, all the kids could talk about was the App trigger points that are hidden all over the store; let me tell you!!!his APP We must have spent 2 hours inside Walmart running around like Mad people with our iPods and iPad in hand taking pictures and finding trigger points all to find out “Which Avenger everyone was.� My Store had a HUGE display in the Electronics aisle. I found four trigger points there, as well as The Avengers Movie Display to create our Group Photo Shot. We found another App trigger in the toy section and of course in the grocery section where we checked out the pizza for dinner.
