Petra Geara Fagerstrom

International energy lawyer, Royal Australian Airforce reservist

Petra is an international energy lawyer of 22 years licensed to practice in Australia, the USA and the Middle East. She has managed complex energy projects addressing the different arrays of risk and legal liability in the Middle East, North America, Australia and Europe.

Petra has managed legal and commercial groups working for companies like Australian Worldwide Exploration, Alinta and KUFPEC, as a trusted member of and advisor to the executive group. Petra acted as an American International Petroleum Negotiators APAC lead for two years and promoted a mentorship program for minorities and women in the resources sector. She sits on a number of drafting committees for industry templates.

She speaks four languages and is a Royal Australian Airforce reservist, in both a capacity of a linguist and legal officer participating in international exercises and advising on domestic energy programs. Petra currently runs her own legal practice specializing in minerals and resources, infrastructure and energy, consulting locally and internationally.
