The Special Sneakers

One day, Manuel went to walk in his favorite park. He passed all day in the park; in the afternoon, he went to his house, but in the street for his house, a strange thing appeared out from the sky. It was a mysterious box.

Manuel do not know what was happening, but the curiosity took over him. He took the box, he wanted to open it, but he didn´t. When he was in his house, he was nervous, but he got brave; he opened the box and found a pair of sneakers. He put on the sneakers, and he felt amazed. The sneakers are very fascinating, he said. These have something that no one else has. “These are special” he thought.

Manuel wanted to sleep, so he walked to his room; when he laid down in his bed, he fell asleep immediately. When he woke up, he went to the bathroom. He saw himself in the mirror. Manuel could not believe it! his reflection was not there. He thought that he was sleeping, but not.

Manuel felt weird. He thought he was crazy. When he washed his face, he saw again the mirror. He was not crazy. Then he looked out of his window; he saw a strange thing flying in his garden. Manuel went out to see what it was. It was flying car, he thought.

Manuel went to see the city, and again he was amazed. The city changed, many colors and strange figures were in the buildings. Manuel was confused, this was not his city!

The strange sneakers, he was wearing, were shining. I am confused, he said; I need to find what is happening. He started walking to the park, he saw many people. He spoke with someone; was a woman, and she had a dog. He asked: what year it was, and she looked at him confused, but she said: “It is 2493”. Manuel fainted!

When he woke up, he was in a strange, but beautiful place. He was in the house of that girl. She said, “I am Christina, and this is my house”. Manuel also showed up. They talked all afternoon. When Manuel was about to leave, the earth trembled. She looked out the window and screamed! “What is happening!” He said. He did not know what was happening, so he looked out of the window too. Both were scared! Manuel couldn´t believe it; it is the same ship from a few days ago. The sneakers shined again and suddenly; Manuel felt very energetic. He left and went to where the ship was. Christina tried to stop him, but he was slowly walking away. When he was in the taller building, the ship approached to Manuel. Then a strange person approached him, he knocked out Manuel. Manuel opened his big eyes up and saw that his sneakers weren't on his feet. He got scared and saw that he was inside a capsule…, He was scared! The strange person approached him again “you are sentenced to death for stealing the magic sneakers”, he said.

Manuel tried many ways to escape but none worked. He gave up until Christina came to rescue him. He asked her how she got to the ship, she replied that she has her tricks. When they were escaping, they had to dodge cameras, detectors, and guards. Manuel thought that was impossible, but Christina didn’t think that. She thought and thought until something came out to her mind. “First go through the sewers, then we will activate the sensors, and run to hide; finally knock out the guards”, she said. Manuel was so nervous, but he followed Christina, step by step.

They went through the sewers; but halfway, Christina screamed because she saw red eyes at the bottom of the sewer. The guards heard her scream. Christina and Manuel were afraid that their plan would go wrong, but they did not give up, they moved fast before being found. Before arriving, Manuel stopped and told Christina to wait "There are my sneakers!" Manuel said in a deep voice. Christina said “¡No, we don’t have time!”. Manuel ignored Cristina, he climbed out of the sewers and carefully made his way to the sneakers. When he touched them, they teleported him to another world, a lonely planet where only he and the mysterious man were. He told him that if he does not defeat him in a battle, Manuel will be his prisoner; but if Manuel defeats him, he will be free and will keep the sneakers.

Manuel said Yes!!, so the battle began. Manuel was losing; the man was extraordinarily strong, and he hurt him a lot, but Manuel did not give up. Manuel got up and hit the man so hard that he couldn't get up, Manuel won!!, the man congratulated him.

He told him that the sneakers were unique, they gave him the power of strength and speed. He also said, "The sneakers have chosen you; now you are the ruler of the infinite galaxies, you will travel in time and help those in need.

You will have the opportunity to make a wish" Manuel was amazed; he said thanks. He returned to the ship, with Christina, -"let's go home"- Manuel said. Christina said that her house was on the ship; she was part of them, and she was not a human. So, they said goodbye and Manuel went to earth, reconstructing the damage caused by the ship and returning to his year, 2047.

Noland, the Lying Samurai

In a village there was a kid called Noland, he was a kid with an incredible imagination. When he grew up, he didn't have the best reputation because he was recognized as a big liar. The villagers don’t want to Noland stay on the village, because Noland said to the kids of the village too many lies, and the kids were so innocent and believed in his lies. The villager’s didn´t want their kids to be in danger, because of him; but like the kids, Noland was also an innocent person. That innocent he was, that he also believed in his own lies. Noland is like a young kid.

Noland also had a wonderful dream, he wanted to be a Samurai like his great grandparents that he lost in a war.

One day, Noland decided to leave the village; but not because of the villagers and their critics, he wanted to leave the village because he wanted to start an adventure to become a Samurai. His first objective was to go to the island of the Samurais, to train.

Noland arrived thanks at an old man who lent him a boat, to go to the island. The old man also recommended him a dojo from a relative so that Noland could train. Noland went to the dojo and there they gave him a place to stay. The trainer said to Noland that next morning they will be starting training. Noland waited all night imagining what he would look like as an amazing samurai.

Noland began his hard training, he had never practiced such a thing, so it was quite difficult for him. “This trainer is very skilled” was Noland’s only thought. At the end of the first part of the training the trainer asked Noland for a favor, the favor of going to buy some groceries at the store. Noland went to the store, excited as if this favor was a mission from his samurai training, he bought all the things that the trainer asked him to buy, and then on the way he ran into a group of people who had a somewhat strange conversation for him, they were talking about an island from the sky.

Noland confused, preferred to leave that place, but later he continued to hear such a rumor. Noland so innocent, believed it but curiously asked all the villagers. To the villagers Noland asked, ignoring that some people reacted badly.

Noland went on, and on asking until suddenly he found two samurais at the doors of a place. Noland innocently asked the samurais but they reacted very, very bad, and even threatened him with their katanas; repeating the phrase “don’t talk about that island, that island doesn’t exist, and you can’t name it in front of us”

From a moment to the next, Noland got into a big trouble, the two samurais that threatened Noland wanted to start a fight. Noland’s reaction was between emotion because he was going to show the little training that he had done, but at the same time he was terrified; luckily, the trainer quickly went to save him from those samurais. The trainer was so fast and discreet that samurais did not even notice his presence. The poor Noland got a good scolding, and the trainer is never going to ask Noland for a favor again.

After all the problem, it got dark, and it was time to rest; but Noland still had doubts about the sky island, so he asked to the trainer about the sky island and the trainer surprised asked Noland, where did he got that information, and Noland only said, “I heard it”, the trainer told him an old legend about it “. Once upon a time there was a rumor, where it was an island in the sky habited by strange creatures with wings and horns. It was said that it could be reached thanks to a current in the sea that rose many meters, but no one has ever been able to reach that island”. Noland was surprised, but excited; as we know he was going to want to go to such an island, and now he knew how.

Noland quickly went to sleep excited, but the trainer was thinking “I never should have told him that, it could put him in danger”.

The next day the trainer didn’t hear that Noland was up there; so he went to see him, but Noland wasn’t in bed or in the whole house “Noland isn’t here!” said the trainer terrified; the trainer went faster to look if Noland was in the village.

The trainer quickly went looking for Noland, because clearly Noland was in terrible danger. The trainer listened the villagers say “a boy challenged, a stronger samurai”. The trainer quickly found out that Noland was the boy who had challenged the samurais, but the trainer had arrived too late, neither the samurais nor Noland were in the village, the trainer desperate asked all the villagers if they knew where they had gone, the samurais and the boy.

Meanwhile, Noland had run so much that the samurais have surrounded him, but there were no longer just two, there were many samurais. Noland was on the seashore, he had no other way to escape than by sea, while Noland he thought what to do, he was pushed by one of the samurais into the sea, what we didn’t know was that he couldn't swim “He was drowning!” luckily, he was able to drag himself a bit through the sea and get away, but he sank deeper and deeper into the sea. He was becoming unconscious until suddenly he was a bright silhouette; it was like a human, but the silhouette had horns and wings, each time it became bigger and bigger, that silhouette could almost be seen clearly.

After a while Noland woke up, when he opened his eyes a little, he saw that silhouette that he had seen before; but now he could see better, the silhouette looked like that creature that they said from sky island. Noland opened his eyes completely and Noland ask the creature, who it was and what it was? The frightened creature fled but…flying?

Noland surprised he visualized better where he was, and he was on a stone in the middle of the sea! Suddenly the creature returned very quickly, grabbed Noland and quickly took him to a nearby island, upon reaching the island and the creature finally calmed down, Noland asked him again who he was and what he was? The creature already answers him and says, “I am one of those who are called angels I come from the island of the sky” Noland, surprised, got excited and asked very excited “The island of the sky exists!?” . The creature only said yes, as an answer. Then quickly tells Noland that the samurais from before were still chasing him, and that they heard what island he came from, and that they would attack it if he did not show himself to them.

Noland’s reaction was scary, he quickly asked the angel to lend him a boat or at least tell him where there is one, and it told him where was one. Noland quickly went after him and began to sail for his island and of course told him before a “thank you” to the angel for saving him and for helping him.

Noland arrived on his island, and since he arrived before the samurais, he began to tell all the villagers who flew to the island to hide somewhere because dangerous people were coming. The villagers surprised to see Noland back, but they thought it was another of his lies.

Noland was very desperate until suddenly he felt a caress on his shoulder, it was an old man, an acquaintance who recommended the dojo to him, and lent him a boat. The old man who had been taking care of him since the death of his parents, the old man asked Noland, what happened? And Noland told him everything, and clearly the old man didn’t take it as a joke or as a lie; because he knew that Noland couldn’t make such a heavy joke, after all he always took care of him and was with him.

The old man; as he had a good reputation in the village, yelled loud and clear to all the villagers to hide in a cave far from there. That was difficult to find if you did not know the village, it was the perfect hiding place. The villagers heard, so they began to believe the old man, because a wise old man like him wouldn’t follow an absurd lie.

Noland who was already about to cry from the worry, thanked the old man, although there were still a few people who didn’t believe, until one of the guards began to shout desperately “some samurais are coming” “and they look very angry” So the few villagers who didn’t believe, ran to the hiding place. The old man told Noland that they also had to go hide but Noland refused that idea, he didn’t want to continue being a coward, he wanted to be able to show what he has learned.

The old man told him that it was dangerous, but Noland quickly kept refusing and pushed the old man way to the cave, while he was outside waiting for the samurais, it didn’t matter that he was trembling with fear, he was ready to fight and show himself how to be a “Samurai”

The old man could not do anything with Noland’s decision, the samurais had already arrived at the island, and Noland was ready for anything. The samurais began to approach, Noland was looking for where the villagers were, but happy to stop their main target in front of them.

They started a big fight; Noland had a hard time, but he was motivated but at the same time he had to put in a lot of effort because he had to protect the villagers and the village; if he allowed his village to be damaged, he wouldn’t deserve to be called a “good samurai”. Nolan…Noland…Noland did it!!

Noland managed to defeat the samurai, he put the greatest effort, while Noland was injured after the great fight all the villagers came out of the cave to see what had happened, it was not much the worst explanation, but you could clearly see what had happened just by looking Noland lying wounded and the samurai unconscious, then the old man quickly goes to see how Noland is and takes him to be healed, and the trainer arrived, who apparently had seen the whole fight.

The old man met the trainer, and they had a long conversation where the old man asked the trainer; what he had taught Noland? and the trainer only said “just how to grab the sword…” “It all came from his own motivation” the surprised old man just smiles, while all the villagers thanked. Noland after all, everybody started to call him “Samurai”.

A Golden Boy

A boy named Teo didn´t have money and gold, but the queen Nancy had a lot. One day the queen got angry with him, and she put a curse on Teo; everything Teo touches will turn into gold. Teo said, why, why, I do not want that... I am sorry queen!!!, but the queen did nothing. Teo cried.

Teo leaned on a wall, and the wall turned into gold. He was in shock It feels like he was crazy, and he went home worried… He opened the door and his door turned into gold, he didn’t even care anymore, he was very tired and sad, he didn’t know what was going on; but he went to rest even though his bed turned to gold. The next day, he heard a voice; Teo thought it was the queen, but he was very confused. The queen Nancy told Teo that he had a curse, and if he wanted to remove the curse, he had to give all the money and gold to people that could help the planet.

Teo said OKAY, I am going to give the money and the gold, but why help the planet? The queen said that there was a very dangerous person, who wanted to put in danger the planet; and I know you are going to help me, because I know everything about your past Teo. Teo asked, how you know about my past? The queen told him that she knew that he had been stealing since he was 13 years old. She also said that his mother was seriously ill, so the only thing they could do was stealing.

She knew it was bad, but he did it for the good of his mother. Then she said that she knew that he was investigating for a place where was a lot of money and gold, so she told Teo that the place he was looking for, is already protected by her.

Teo no longer wanted the curse, but now he wanted the money for his mother, but also wanted to save the planet from this bad person.

Teo told the queen that he was hungry, and he wanted to eat an apple, but it turned into gold, he asked queen Nancy what he had to do, so the queen said that she had to travel and use the curse for the good; not for evil. Teo asked her, but what good was this ugly curse going to do for him? The queen said: you will know how it will make you useful… The Queen told him that he must be a better person, Teo told her: I am, and I promise I will help the planet.

The queen was incredibly happy when Teo said that. Teo began his trip around the world, the queen had told him to begin in Paris. He traveled in a gold car, in a gold plane, so people thought he was rich. Searching for the information for the place with the gold he found out that the curse was not so bad, and if he touched a person he could turn into gold.

Already on the plane, he was having great fun, but he had to calm down to find the bad guy, when he arrived at Paris, he went to find the bad guy; according to the clues he found he was in a fastfood restaurant. When he arrived, he realized that he was doing something suspicious, he went over to see but he just covered what he was doing. Teo asked him who he was, and he told him I am Luis, a businessman, and who are you? I am Teo a rich person.

Luis put his hand on the suspicious thing, so Teo wanted to see what it was, but if he touched it would be in gold, and he still did not want to kill him. So Teo asked Luis: where you work Luis? Nervously answered: I work at my house… Teo noticed that he was nervous, so he decided to go after him, and guess what; he found his bad plans for the planet.

He didn´t wanted to kill him, but something had to be done, so he did it.

Teo stopped him by turning him in solid gold; he said at least he won’t do what he was going to do anymore. Everyone who was there called the police, but Teo noticed that he was no longer converting things in gold. So, he believed that by doing that, the course stopped and everything was normal again. When the police arrived, they arrested Luis, even though he was in gold. Teo happy with what he had done, promise not to steal never again.

The queen he rewarded him by relieving his mother and giving him what he always wanted. THE END.

An Enchanted Princess

Once upon a time in the up of a tower lived a princess named Corelia , the princess had a strange name because she was enchanted ; the day that the princess was born a witch came to the castle and said : the princess will become a mermaid and will swim all the nights through corals unless that… At that moment a very strong burst of wind prevented the witch from saying the last part, when the burst ended the witch had gone and left the queen without the thing that would break the enchantment of Corelia . The queen was very worried about the destiny of Corelia, every night she became a mermaid, and, in the morning, she became a human again.

One day, a young man named Yahadi came to the castle and said to the queen Marieque that he knew how to break the enchantment of the princess. The brother of the princess(whose name was John) said Yahadi, will have to go to the black forest (a forest full of monsters and dangers) first he will have to solve three difficult riddles and ,then he will be able to enter to the cave of a giant (he was a good giant) and he had a coffer that had all the words that the wind had heard, and in that coffer were the words that the witch had said about the enchantment of Corelia(what thing would stop it) and he will have to search the words that the witch said ,and then he will have to find the thing that will stop the enchantment. Then Marieque thanked Yahadi and Yahadi left; when Yahadi left Marieque went to Yadid’s room and told the words that John said to her, when Yahadi heard the words, he said to Marieque (his mother) that he was willing enough to go to the black forest to break the enchantment of his sister Corelia. He took his sword and his coat of rings (that is like a tiny knight's coat) and went to the black forest. When John arrived at the black forest, he found a troll and he said: -if you want to pass, you’ll have to solve my riddles. Okay -said John- The first riddle said the troll - is: Sings without a voice, flies without wings, without teeth bites without a mouth speaks. John said: -wait a moment – then he said: The wind! It’s right -said the troll - Now, the second riddle is: You can't see or feel it, and it fills all the gaps you can't smell or hear it’s behind the stars, and it's at the foot of the hills it comes first and stays it kills laughs and ends lives. John had heard something alike in other times, so he said: The darkness! Without doubting a second. You are right replied to the troll, the third (and last) riddle is: Devours all things: birds, beasts, plants and flowers; gnaws the iron, bites steel and pulverizes the compact rock, it kills kings, ruins cities and topples the high mountains John thought and thought an at least he said: The time! You solved all my riddles now you can pass to the cave-said the troll thanks you! -said John- and he entered to the cave. Helloooooooo! -said John. Hello -replied to a deep voice you must be John, right?

Yes -said John- and you are? Dongo-said the giant, nice to meet you, nice to meet you too -replied to JohnMy mother said that you have a coffer with the words that the wind had heard. Yes -said Dongo- What words do you need to search? Well. said John, some words that a witch said to my mother the day that my sister was born. Come here then, you can search them -Said Dongo-.

When John found the words, they said: Unless she smells the Tywara (a magical flower) and then the enchantment will break. Thank you Dongo -said John, goodbye! Goodbye -replied Dongo.

Later John entered the deeper passages of the black forest to find the Tywara, he met a fair named Oba and she gave him a map to find the Tywara. John had to fight with dragons, and at least he found the Tywara. He returned to the castle (when it was night) and he went to his mother’s room. Mom, Mom! -said John, may I pass? Yes John -replied to the queen

You can pass.

Mom at least I found the thing that will break the enchantment. What is that thing dear son? This mom -said John- a Tywara. And in that moment the Tywara spread all its light. She only must smell this magical flower, and she will be cured, and the enchantment will break. Wow! -said the queen- tomorrow she will smell it, because as you know she is now a mermaid. Yes, mom-replied John- but tomorrow she’ll be cured. Yes, replied to the queen now go to rest John.

Good night mother -said John-. The next morning there was a great commotion all over the kingdom, The princess was cured! She was cured first by her brother's bravery, and by the magic flower called Tywara.

Ghosty, the Forgotten Ghost

Once upon a time in another astral planet, a ghost named Ghosty, was extremely excited because where he lives, when ghosts were 12 years old, a body with a unique characteristic will be assigned to a ghost to be traveled to Earth!

Ghosty was a very restless ghost who was only 11 years old and 1 month away from his birthday.

He decided to get ahead to the line to be assigned a body. Ghosty without thinking went through the machine, but there was an error, and he was sent to Earth as a ghost. But he would never imagine the adventure that awaited him.

At that time, in Washington DC. there were ghost hunters since many ghosts were causing problems in the city, and when Ghosty arrived at that place he didn’t know what was happening and suddenly they began to follow him. He, very scared, ran as fast as he could and fled to a house.

Suddenly, He heard some children's voices, they were John and Pablo. They saw a ghost and gasped, giving a very loud cry. -Ahhhhhhhhh!

Ghosty, without thinking, hide in a closet. John and Pablo went to check and found him very scared.

- Hello, gho-gho-ghost? What is your name? John asked.

- My name is Ghosty and you?

-I am John and he is my brother, Pablo.

- I thought ghosts did not exist. -Pablo said. -What are you doing here?

- I come from another astral plane, 5,000 light years from Earth.

- How did you get here?

- By mistake, they sent me prematurely to their planet.

- Is there someone who can help you?

- No, there is no one, my family doesn’t know where I am.

- Hey John, do you think we can help Ghosty return to his astral plane?

- It would be great, but how will we do it?

- I think I know how! We need: Tiza, twelve candles and one precious object from you two.

- What do you mean with that?

- Many of the other ghosts have been causing problems because humans don't know how to share and help each other. That's why it takes one thing that you want very much in order to complete the ritual.

- Pablo, how about your racing car?

- Ok, and John, how about your console?

- NO, never my console!

- Do you see what I mean? You are extremely attached to material things and that creates conflicts.

- You are right, then my console will be! We will help you return to your astral plane.

Then the ghost hunters arrived at Paul and John’s house because they suspected that there was a ghost.

-Oh no! They're here!

-Who Ghosty?

-I didn't tell you but four ghost hunters were chasing me before I found you.

-Why?

-Because they think I’m a ghost who causes problems.

-Oh… But don't worry, we’re going to help you hide.

‘Knock, knock’

-Paul, you must open the door.

-Ok, here I go, I’m nervous…

-Hello boy, have you seen any ghosts here?

-Why do you say that? If ghosts don't exist?

- There weren’t any ghosts since last week. But now, there are.

-Really? Oh no, but I haven’t seen a ghost here yet.

-Are you serious? Because I see you nervous.

-Yes sir, sir…

-McAllister, Peter McCallister, Expert Ghost Hunter. But are you serious?

-Yes Peter McCallister.

The four ghost hunters leave Paul and John's house.

Ghosty, John and Pablo found the materials to do the ritual.

Ghosty went to his astral planet and understood that waiting is worth it, and the brothers learned to share.

The Revenge of the Little Shark

Long time ago there were three little fish that were always playing in the sea, they were so happy because they had all the sea for them, because where they live were only friends to play; but only the three of them were best friends and they tried to play with other fish, but some of them didn't want to play with them. Other ones were scary, or they were boring for them.

They were bored of always being only them, so they were looking for a new friend. Their options were: a clown fish, a star fish, a turtle, a stingray, and a shark. They decided to stay with the clown fish, because a shark could eat them, a turtle would be boring because they liked to do races all the time; so, it wasn´t fun having a turtle always losing; and they wanted a new person to do things they liked.

A stingray would also be very boring for them. Only the clown fish seemed to be kind of what they were looking for; from the fish they interviewed. There was an exception, the shark.

He was going to take revenge because he really wanted to be their friend; they laughed at the shark, and he got even more angrier. After that, they went to talk with their new friend, t the clown fish, he was funny, and he always had ideas to continue playing.

They never get bored with him. A day when vthey were playing, they remembered the shark and began to make fun of him by saying that he was a coward, and never carried out his supposed revenge. One of them told the others not to laugh at him "he never did anything bad to us he just wanted to be our friend" he said, you are absolutely right; said the clown fish. The other two fish thought for a while, and finally said that they were right, and they had to find the shark and apologize to him. Meanwhile, the shark was planning a passage where he knew the fish were going to find out, and were going to get in, and he was going to leave them locked up forever. That was what he believed but he was too good to do that; probably he will only just scare them and let them out later. He couldn’t leave them there alone he would be very sorry.

The fish were trying to find the shark, they were sorry for being bad before, but they didn't find the shark, they give up and said that they were going to continue the next day; because it was late, and their moms were angry for disobeying them. They had already told not to go home late because there could be sharks and eat them. The next day their moms decided that they needed to learn to be home early, because it was very dangerous to be out late.

On the other side, the shark found a good place for the passage, and decided to build the passage; but only a little shark couldn’t do the passage alone, so he was looking for a fish to help him. After swimming a lot, he found a whale and ask her for a hand, the whale accepted to help the shark. They finished the secret passage the shark was incredibly happy and now he had a new friend. His new friend was very creative and funny, she spent making jokes all day long, the shark was very happy and played with the whale all day. At the next day the fish continued looking for the shark; while they searched for him the shark was playing with his new friend; they found the shark, but he was having fun, and they decided to talk to him later. They went to play, while they were waiting for the whale to leave alone the shark, but that never happened. When they went back looking for the shark, he wasn’t there, so they decided to look for him in other time, but they found a secret passage.

They decided not to get in because it looked dark, but the clown fish said that they needed to get in. The other three fish said no, they didn’t want to get in trouble. The clown fish insisted, and they finally accepted, but they were going to one of their houses for a lantern. No one had one, so they asked a fish for one, and they got one.

Going to the secret passage, they got lost; they didn’t remember where it was; so, they looked for it all afternoon, but they didn’t find it. They didn´t want to go home yet, but if they disobey their moms, they surely will get angry; so they went home.

The next day, they were looking for the secret passage and they found it. They entered, and they got lock up. They were so scared, and they started to fight. They said that was clown fish´s fault, and they were so angry with him. They continued fighting… "stop fighting said the clown fish”. while they were fighting the shark was noticed that the secret passage captured something. The shark was surprised, he didn’t want to capture the fish, because now he already had a friend. So, he asked the whale to help the fish, and that he was going to explain her why, on the way to the secret passage.

After explaining the whale, they went to help the fish; they were scared, they thought that they were going to eat them. They finally sat down to talk to the shark and said: “We are so sorry shark all this time we were looking for you, we are so sorry, the shark answered: “I am sorry two, I was so bad, and I did this to you guys” all I want is to be your friend. Yes! they answered … let’s get out of here and play!
