Louise walks two-plus mi les three time a week and i active in women's c ircles in her Presbyterian church. She carrie on extensive corre pondence with her eight grandchildren, age 2 2 to 3 5 . During w i n ters in Florida, he attend symphony concerts, goes to travel lectures and keeps in touch with the many friend he has made there in the past 20 years. Summer are spent with children, grandchildren and other r e l a t i v e - ome 40 of whom have ettled in or near Loui e in Portland, Maine. Harold Brown ' 3 5 , sat down in Bradenton, Fla . , last February to write that the be t decision he ever made was to earn a Ph.D. at the age of 54 . Harold has three sons: one is presi­ dent of the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh; a second is a cell ist with the Chicago Symphony; and the third is a piano technician in Santa Cruz, Calif. All are happil married. Like his sister- i n - law Louise Williams Brown '34 above, Harold is another member of the Blurred Cyclone Club. Thanks to her master's degree in p ychiatric soc ial work , Mary Small Copithorne '35 wa able to work until she was 8 1 -get­ ting that degree was the best de­ cision heever made, hedeclare;. She has four children, one of whom has recovered from can­ cer. Among seven grandchildren, there is no evidence as yet of the imminent arrival of any great­ grandch ildren, although M rs. Copithome has hopes . . . . Sidney Schiffman '35 is pretty much under house arrest since his mo t recent heart attack, but he is still alive, he say , aware of what is going on and looking forward to a return to Colby one of these fine reunions.
