India Partners Experience the Power of Partnership! India Partners is seeking initial funds for support to open a Hotel Management Institution in southeast India. They currently work with an organization that operates an orphanage and works in several poor villages in Andhra Pradesh, India. They are seeking initial start-up funds with plans to become self-sufficient after the initial grant of $5,300. The goal of the school is to provide training and job placement services for young people in hotel and restaurants throughout Andhra Pradesh and India. The school will provide training in Hotel Management, Culinary Technology and Tourism Management for up to 160 students per year. The Project Manager for the Institute, P. Kishore Kumar, has diplomas in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. In addition to working as a chef in a first class hotel, he has taught at the junior college level as well as in vocational training institutes. It has been Kumar’s dream to work with young people to bring dignity to their lives by helping them to get jobs. He has obtain government permission to start a Hotel Management Institution. Now they just need the small amount of funding to get started. The initial grant of $5,300 will begin the institution funding for the start-up expenses including: • Rent Deposit • Furniture (desk, tables, chairs) • Electric ovens • Heavy gauge gas stoves • Steel and glass cooking utensils • Electric fans and lights The school is also assuming a cost for 30% of the students needing financial assistance. Their budget allows for them to be self sufficient with tuition costs after their initial start up. $5,300 is a small amount to raise to be a part of changing the future of many years of students.
