Make It So Report Volume 9

Writer Pastor Lenora Young

“In The Season of Push” Scripture: Isaiah 66: 7 – 9 (NKJV) “Before she was in labor, she gave birth; before her pain came, she delivered a male child. Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children. Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?” says the Lord. “Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?” says your God. Push: To press or thrust forward vigorously, to put forth great effort – To advance against opposition. Many of us have heard time after time; this is our time of restoration. This is the time of receiving the promise, but we were not given all the instructions or should I say we were not given the entire scenario – we were not told the whole story. We were not told that there is a period of preparation. Some of us are entering in, some are in the middle, and some are at the end of your preparation getting ready to walk into the promise – getting close to the destiny that God has promised. Out with the old – in with the new. Enthusiastic – excited – anxious about what God said to us concerning our lives. Not being cognizant of the fact that there would be a time when it would come into mind that you would want to throw in the towel because the promise did not come when you thought it should have. All of us have come to that point, when we’ve said to ourselves; this is not going to happen. Somebody lied. BUT, I have come to tell you, that even that thought is a part of the process. Your faith has been put under scrutiny. It’s being challenged – it’s being examined – it’s being tested – the bible tells us; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. The human response to trials is not to rejoice; therefore the believer must make a conscious commitment to face them with joy – a conscious commitment must be made to “P U S H.” Push pass what the natural eye may see – Push pass what the natural ear may hear – Push pass what is felt. We’ve been told down through the years, “Trials Come to Make You Strong” they come to prove to you that you are stronger than you think. Trials – this Greek word means trouble, or something that breaks the pattern of peace, comfort, joy, and happiness in someone’s life. Trials take you out of your comfort zone. The verb form of this word means “to put someone or something to the test,” with the purpose of discovering that person’s nature. God brings such tests to prove and increase the strength and quality of one’s faith and to demonstrate its validity. Job, a man considered to be upright, was challenged to the point of loosing everything. It was a test ordained by God. There was a conversation that went on between God and Satan; “Have You Thought or Considered My Servant Job? I give you permission to examine him. Satan’s reply, I can’t get to him – you have a hedge protecting him. Take down the hedge and I will cause him loose faith. I will cause him not to PUSH. God spoke back to Satan; you can have him but you can’t have his life. Job, being tried – lost everything. But, the bible says; Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. The positive words of Job: “If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed 36
