Founded in 1964; One of North America’s largest quick service restaurant chains, with over 4,000 restaurants; In Canada, we own a 42% share of the quick service restaurant traffic; More than 60% of our guests visit us 3 times or more every two weeks; 8 out of 10 take-out cups of coffee in Canada; Vertically integrated: 2 coffee roasting plants, fondant and fills manufacturing; 5 distribution centres; 99.9% of restaurants are franchised; Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation operates 6 children’s camps for economically disadvantaged children.

Climate change related shareholder resolutions in North America (2011-2013)  

Ceres tracks shareholder resolutions on sustainability-related issues; Resolutions are filed by some of the nation’s largest public pension funds, foundations, and religious, labor and socially responsible investors; Between 2011-2013 there were 24 Shareholder resolutions for Food & Beverage Companies; 21 (87%) were related to climate change issues:      

Climate change risk in the supply chain; Palm oil sourcing and policies; Water risk in the supply chain; Deforestation; Biodiversity; Greenhouse gas emissions and reporting.
