Five years have passed since the Canyon Country Campus opened – and thousands of people’s lives have been enriched by the educational and training programs now offered in the eastern Santa Clarita Valley. e Canyon Country Campus, nestled among 70 acres in the hills off Sierra Highway, surpassed a projected enrollment of 3,000 when it opened on Aug. 27, 2007 and has grown faster than anyone imagined. e 3,410 students who enrolled for that first semester validated the new campus, just as the 5,492 students who enrolled for fall 2011 reinforced the notion that the eastern Santa Clarita Valley absolutely depends on it.
