Pastel artist featured at Botanic Gardens ENCINITAS — Pastel artist Lyndelle Stonick has been asked to demonstrate her technique from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. June 3 at San Diego Botanic Garden, 230 Quail Gardens Drive. Stonick has exhibited nationally as well as internationally in galleries and museums, in solo and group shows, and won Best of Show at United Society of Pastel Artists Juried Show and first place in the San

CARMEL VALLEY — As graduation approaches, 53 outstanding Canyon Crest Academy seniors were recognized with scholarships totaling $30,000 from Canyon Crest Academy Dollars for Scholars on May 18. The scholarship recipients were recognized for their achievement in a broad range of activities, achievements and volunteer activities in their high school careers. Aditi Trivedi received the Dollars for Scholars Principal’s Award, Rachel Hoffman and Amruta Trivedi received the Adria Horning Memorial Awards and Faith Vasquez was awarded the Esther and Bryant Burke Award. Nicole Leonard and Matthew Voss received the Del Mar/Solana Beach Rotary Club award, Nora King received the Ed and Eleanor Jacobs Memorial award and Deven Klee was awarded the Rancho Santa Fe Rotary Award.
