Compiled by Shelli DeRobertis A report for the week of Jan. 5, 2011, to Jan. 11, 2011 DAMAGE DONE Three vehicles belonging to an Oceanside man were vandalized on Jan. 8. He reported damage to his Chevy Suburban, Audi and BMW. MOO An ag crime took place on West San Marcos Boulevard when $850 worth of cattle was stolen.The report was made Jan. 9. NECKLACE IN THE MIST A necklace, pair of gloves and $1 in coins was taken from a vehicle at Misty Circle in Encinitas on Jan. 8. TOUGH GUY A suspect was arrested on Jan. 6 for a strongarm robbery, felony vandalism and resisting a peace officer. CLASSIC Tracy Henderson, 44, was charged for an incident at Cardiff Classics that involved an automotive part worth $3,250. MUCHO MONEY A woman reported that $28,000 was stolen from a building at Via Del Bravo in Rancho Santa Fe on Jan. 1. The money was in the form of one-hundred dollar bills. HOLE IN THE WALL A busi-

ness at Paseo Del Norte in Carlsbad was burglarized on Jan. 9 of money, clothing and sale items.The report shows that entry into the business was made through a hole in the wall. WORTH IT? A 52-year-old man was held up and robbed of $15 at 8:59 p.m. on Jan. 10 at East California Avenue in Vista. BAD KIDS Two juveniles were arrested in Vista for breaking laws that ban drugs and weapons at school. At 3:01 p.m on Jan. 6, both kids were charged with possession of marijuana, and one of them also had possession of a lethal cutting instrument. ONE TOO MANY A man was arrested in Oceanside and charged with 19 counts of possession of narcotics. The arrest was made on Jan. 6 at Vine Street.

SOLANA BEACH — Golfers and sponsors are being sought for the inaugural Do It Fore the Kids Foundation charity golf tournament, scheduled for March 7 at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club. The event, which will benefit Rady Children’s Hospital, is being coordinated by 26-year-old Dale Houts, a Cardiff-by-the-Sea resident and graduate of San Dieguito Academy High School. Houts, who said he practically grew up at the Solana Beach golf club, began putting the tournament together after playing in a charity golf tournament last summer. “I had so much fun playing the game I love and helping a good cause,” he said. “I wanted to do something good for the community.” The cost for a foursome is $550 and includes lunch,

CARLSBAD — The Museum of Making Music, 5790 Armada Drive, will host a conference from 8:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 28 on spirituality and the end of life journey, to benefit Hospice of the North Coast. Conference speaker Douglas C. Smith will explore the spiritual dimension and language of the journey of death and dying. The conference will also include a complimentary Integrative Therapies Fair during registration and lunch, including chair massages, Reiki and aromatherapy. General admission is $10. Students can earn four continuing education units for the cost of $35. A continental breakfast and light lunch will also be served.
