Real Weddings: Summer & Allie
Summer & Allie

We met on a dating site at the end of 2021 and rang in the new year together shortly after. I (Allie) asked her to be my girlfriend on NYE at the Islander, and by February, I knew I wanted to marry her (they say when you know, you know). Eight months later, we had a photo shoot planned at Fort Pickens for “Christmas cards” and I got down on one knee and asked her to be my wife.

I (Summer), obviously said yes and was over the moon when Allie surprised me with a party with all of our friends and family after the photo shoot. We had a blast (a stressful blast) planning our wedding and we finally said our “I dos” on December 2nd, 2023. We planned to have a beach wedding but it poured all day (special thanks to Bodacious and Emily for saving the day and allowing us to use their space as our rain plan). Allie forgot her veil, we forgot the rings, we were an hour late, and our baby flower girl had a diaper blowout right before walking down the aisle. But we wouldn’t have had it any other way. The story we get to tell now makes all the hiccups seem like nothing. All that mattered was the love we felt for each other and the fun we had.

I (Allie) may be biased, but our story is my favorite love story. I wouldn’t want to do life with anyone other than Summer.
