N u d e male kneeling right, holding thin shaft to his mouth, short rod with fillets or wrist strap in his left; tunny below / Quadripartite incuse punch. Cf. Von Fritze 115; Greenwell 96. VF. ($8000) Von Fritze suggests the object held to the mouth is a trumpet and the object held in the left hand a sword in scabbard. The figure on this coin is not helmeted, as is the Von Fritze specimen, so a military interpretation of the objects held is not required. The head is off the flan on the Greenwell specimen.
