Jeremy Parsons Music Artist Releases New Album "Things To Come"

Q: Hi Jeremy! How have things been going since the release of your album, "Things To Come?" It's been going very well. I have been delighted with the record's reception, and people are still discovering it and reaching out sharing their stories with me about how they came across it, which is always great. It was an exciting experience putting out a project during a pandemic. No touring made it a new journey in figuring out how to promote yourself via different avenues. It's good to be able to get back out there now playing these songs for people.

Q: You've had quite a ride with your current single doing very well on the charts. What has been the most thrilling thing that's happened to you in the past year? The most exciting thing for me was getting my song onto a Spotify editorial playlist. It was a goal I set for myself as something I had never

accomplished before, and I was able to get there. My song "Things To Come" made it onto the Texas Country playlist and, as a result, has the highest number of streams I've ever had on one of my tracks.

Q: What do you like to do when you're not making music?

I feel like I always leave myself open to creating music through experiences and things that present themselves in my life. I've enjoyed being home and spending time with my Dad, especially during the pandemic. As much as I missed playing shows, it was some great quality time that I wouldn't trade for anything. If I'm not there, I like to work out, whether it's finding a park and going for a walk, the gym, or just exploring somewhere I've never been in San Antonio or one of the surrounding cities.

Q: You live in San Antonio, TX. What is your favorite thing about the city? I like how spread out it is. I also feel like it's building up well. It's a fairly diverse city where you can find many fantastic places and get even more recommended to you once you start bouncing around town a bit. I was born and raised here, but I feel like coming back as more of an adult has made it a whole new experience. I'm familiarizing myself and learning everything about where I came from all over again.

Q: If you could perform with anyone in the world, who would that be and why? I've said this many times before and will continue to, Jason Isbell. He constantly blows my mind with how amazing he is both as an artist and as a person. I feel like there's so much you can learn from someone like that, and it would be an honor to have some knowledge trickle down from such a respected source. He also has one of my favorite bands I've ever seen. If you haven't seen Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit and get the chance, I highly recommend it.

Q: Are you political at all? Do you get involved in social media debates? I have my opinions, but I usually keep them off of social media. I think social media fights are ridiculous and a waste of time. I'm a fan of conversations, and those tend to turn into an allout war with very little progress, just anger. I do enjoy discussing things with my friends and loved ones. It always feels stimulating because it allows

me to see things from a different perspective at times. Though that may not change my opinion, it's always good to look at things from all sides.

Q: What is one thing about yourself that you would change? I wish I could let things go a little easier. Especially when someone makes me mad by way of wronging me, someone I care about, or themselves when they're someone for whom I care. There are many things I can move past, but when it comes to this, I struggle at times. I've gotten better about it with time, but there's always more work to be done.

Q: If you had any advice for an up and coming artist, what would that be? Get out there and do all you possibly can. The experience is so helpful, and you will figure out reasonably quickly if this is what you should be doing. If it's where you should be, it will just feel

like living when you're driving all over the place, unloading and loading, playing for three to four hours, and then doing it all over again. I tell people about this job sometimes, and they respond that it usually sounds exhausting. I have always found it to feel fulfilling.

Q: Any plans for a new single? I have thought about it, and to be honest, I can't seem to pick. That's kind of funny to say, but I do love all the songs on this record. I was thinking about the track "Sit and Spin" but would be open to hearing what other people want.

Q: Will you be releasing a follow-up album? I have begun working with my good friend Dustin Martin in Texas on a new project. I plan to have something for y'all to hear from what we're doing some time in 2022. It's very cool and different, and it looks like we're going to have quite a bit of new

music from this as well, so I think I'm going to put it out in multiple EPs.

Q: Any last shout-outs or words for your fans? Thanks for being who you are and allowing me and others to do what they do by supporting creators and their art. It means everything.
