Exclusive interview with Music artist “Davy Williamson”
Q: Hi Davy! How have things been going since the release of your new EP "Down By The Fire?” A lot has happened is short period of time…..let’s just say, I’m happy about music always being there in the good times as well as the difficult times.
Q: You've had quite a ride with several singles doing very well on the charts. What has been the most thrilling thing that's happened to you in the past year? I am thrilled beyond belief with how well some of the songs released are doing on the charts, just wishing I could get the same response here in the states, that I am getting overseas.
Q: What do you like to do when you're not making music? I love my dog Lulu and wish I was able to see her more than I do…. outside of of spending time with her, I am a workaholic, so I stay busy working at building my career in the music business as well as my construction business.
Q: You live in Wilmington, NC. favorite thing about the city?

I do! I’m from Wilmington, and as far as my favorite thing to do here would be a toss up between going to see all the awesome musicians in the area and eating at Freddie’s, J Michael’s, Ceviches or PT’s! Davy loves good food haha!
Q: If you could perform with anyone in the world, who would that be and why? Joey Cape. He has been such a huge influence on me since I was a kid with his songwriting. I hope one day he reads this and we get to work together.
Q: Are you political at all? Do you get involved in social media debates? Yes and not at all….. it the words of one of my favorite bands, (Propagandhi) “if your dumb enough to vote, your f***ing dumb enough to believe them.
Q: What is one thing about yourself that you would change?
How I look…lol…..IDK who knows how to answer a question like that? I’ll keep an eye out for the replies……..
Q: If you had any advice for an up-and-coming artist, what would that be? Practice, Learn, Practice, Learn, write songs, record and perform live till it matches the recording. Then repeat….
Q: Any plans for a new single? Yes! Happy to announce that we are going to be releasing “Fault Line” off of my latest effort “Down by the Fire”, after that Shawn Adkins and I have started recording again and looking to release a new single after “Fault Line” runs it course…..
Q: Will you be releasing a follow up album? I will be and as mentioned above, the process has already began! Hopefully out by next year!
Q: Any last shout outs or words for your fans?
I want to give a shout-out to my daughter Caelyn! And for all the fans that continue to support this crazy life I chose! I love you all and I hope to see you soon!
