PCP Karate Team strikes silver and bronze at the International Karate Tournament 2012

Community Center Coordinator, City of Sunny Isles Beach City of Sunny Isles Beach was represented by the Pelican Community Park’s Karate youth team at the International Karate Tournament, CHOJUN MIYAGI CUP 2012. This prestigious tournament was hosted by St. Thomas University on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Among the contestants registered for this international championship, there were teams from Venezuela, Ecuador, Bahamas, and various States including
Four students of PCP Karate program participated in the competition, where they demonstrated great results and brought home 6 medals including Silver and Bronze: • Chloe Araujo scored 2nd Place and Silver in Kata and Kimite matches. • Zahra Marie Ronizi won 2nd Place and Silver medal in Kata. • Breanna Wolfshlag took 3rd Place and Bronze medals in Kata and Kumite contests. • Brandon Herman won 3rd Place and Bronze in Kumite match.
