OFFERED ONCE Nov 21 to 28/17 Tue 6:00-9:00 Dec 2/17 Sat 1:00-4:00 Contemporary travel photography has been elevated by increasingly sophisticated and accessible equipment, and fast platforms for sharing. This course will cover equipment and techniques that travel photographers use to capture images both informative and inspiring. It will also cover contemporary travel photography styles, particularly in the context of British Columbia’s tourism industry. Apply your knowledge during the final class and create your own “on-brand” photographs at an offsite location through personalized guidance and critique from our faculty. You will supplement existing photography skills with technical and contextual details for travel photography: • Trip planning and gear selection; • Shooting in difficult weather; • Astro and time-lapse photography; • Contemporary style and commercial readiness, especially for the tourism industry in BC; and • Getting exposure and making a difference.
RECOMMENDED
Good working knowledge of your personal digital camera. Previously taken the Introduction to Digital Cameras or Photography: The Next Level.
SUPPLIES
