The Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC) has a dynamic and widespread offering of services including: Providing high-quality and cost-sensitive care for the unique and diverse needs of all UC Davis students. A center for basic as well as specialized health care needs.

The atmosphere at the Health and Wellness Center is entirely professional and non-judgmental and confidential:
No upfront payment is necessary
Student accounts will be charged to be paid off at a later date
For confidentiality, specific information about service charges don’t show up on online bill
All medical records are confidential

Urgent Care is available without appointment. An advise nurse will assess your condition at no charge. If you need to see a provider
for more in-depth care, your student account will be billed $20.
Although many services are termed to require referrals, ask about “self-referrals”
Busing to the SHWC? Both the J and C lines have stops in front of the SHWC.
Need consultation after normal SHWC hours?
A Student Health Advice Nurse is available 24/7 through (530)-752-2349 for issues or concerns.

Get acquainted with Nutrition Services at the Student Health and Wellness Center! Whether you need help maintaining a healthy diet, weight management, nutrition assessments, or tips on eating habits, Nutrition Services has you covered.
Need Tips on Cooking Great AND Healthy meals? Nutrition Services hosts The Teaching Kitchen! A series of cooking class sessions are offered to students several times each quarter ranging from hands on cooking classes to “fresh from the farm” sessions suited to help students create quick, easy, and most importantly, healthy meals.
All registered students (with a referral) can meet with a registered in-house dietitian for nutrition assessments as well as for nutrition related problems including diabetes, weight management, and eating disorder related issues.

Yes, SEX. Knowledge of sexual health is of importance to all, no matter if you are sexually active or not. Health Education and Promotion (HEP), located on the third floor of the Student Health and Wellness Center is an on-campus resource for students to pick up materials and information to help them be informed and make healthier decisions when it comes to their sexual health
Get familiar with the Love Lab! The Love Lab, a program of HEP, distributes free safer sex products including condoms and educational materials Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) as well as Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) testing are available to ALL students at the Student Health and Wellness Center. Need To De-Stress?
Massage therapy may be your answer! The Student Health and Wellness Center provides massage therapy sessions through the Physical Therapy department for all students and staff for a small fee.
Useful for releasing tension, stress, and help in relaxation, massage therapy sessions range from 30 and 45 minute sessions for $30 and $40, respectively, per session! All charges are billed to your student account. Check out: http://shcs.ucdavis.edu/services/massage
Acupuncture, the technique of inserting thin needles at specific points on the body to treat pain and stress and increase blood flow, is available to students on the third floor.
