HER NUMBER WAS NOT CALLED ‘Her Number Was Not Called’ was commissioned to celebrate the work of ‘Beat Poet’, Ruth Weiss. It was premiered on the 31st October 2006 at MAK, Vienna featuring the soprano, Zuzana Rasiova and conducted by the composer. Alexander Rudd graduated fromTrinity College ofMusic achieing a first class honours degree and was awarded the highest acolade for outstanding work in composition, The Silver Medal. He has won various awards for composition including, Winner of the 1997 National Young Composer of the Year Award. He was a selected Composer involved with GreenwichTheatre’s,‘TenMinute Musical Challenge’. Following the success his large-scale orchestral work, Furore (Blackheath Halls, London) He represented the UK as a featured Composer in the International ArtistsWorkshop for theEuropeanUnion.Histheatrescoresinclude the musical,The Stones are Hatching (YouthMusicTheatre:UK) and My Matisse (Jermyn St Theatre) His work is performed throughout the UK and Europe.
