He encounters his young self on a carousel in the park and approaches him, but scares him away. As the boy flees, though, he injures his leg on the play structure. After getting a few words of wisdom from his father (himself a much younger man here), the man gets on the carousel, which begins turning. When he gets off, he’s in the present again, with a new limp from his childhood self’s fall. As mentioned, this is considered one of the show’s greatest episodes. by an actual carousel in his own childhood hometown of Binghamton, N.Y. Indeed, when the carousel was restored a few years ago, along with the rest of the George F. Johnson Recreation Park, it was dedicated to Serling. The carousel was revamped with murals depicting famous “Twilight Zone” episodes, including this one. Season 2 of “Cedar Cove,” the Hallmark Channel series based on the popular book series by romance writer Debbie Macomber, will premiere on July 20. That may seem like a while, but it’s actually a year to the day after the first season premiered. The first season had 13 episodes (the last one airing in October), but the network hasn’t announced how many will be in season 2.
