Travel Outside The Box Adventure Closer To The Sky Ask anyone about where to spend a vacation in Thailand, and “Phuket” is

automatically on the tip of their tongues. Likely as a result, the area’s teaming with resorts that all start to feel similar after a while, and seem almost separate from the country’s history and culture. Keemala, on the other hand, centers its concept around these aspects: Specifically, the history of fictitious ancient settlers, and the island’s serene rainforest location. As such, the stories of four separate clans shape each villa’s architectural style, while the resort’s design doesn’t ignore the surrounding landscape – particularly, mature trees, waterfalls, streams, and the area’s hilly topography alongside the sea. Out of those stories, the We-Ha peoples’ universe-worshipping forms the foundation for the Tree Pool Houses. Architecturally, the villas appear to be suspended from the trees – ultimately, to put the guest closer to the sky – and inside, furniture and all other fittings are hung from the ceiling. Yet, Keemala prides itself on providing guests with a five-star experience, so each dwelling is furnished with a king-size bed in a master bedroom, a private pool, three monsoon showers, and two levels of living space.

Bird’s Nest, which consists of eight pool villas, is inspired by the Rung-Nok community – the richest and most opulent of all clans, and thought to have a higher degree of intellect and spirituality.
