While the sector continues to navigate the impact of April's tax changes and staffing cost increases from the Autumn Budget, nightlife venues have sought to adapt to changing consumer behaviour and evolving formats such as experienceled socialising, to some success, however, the overall numbers of night-time venues
– particularly independent – remain drastically below pre-pandemic levels. Recent positive indicators suggest the industry's innovative spirit and consumer loyalty remain strong. The latest data from Lumina Intelligence shows consumers are embracing social dining experiences, with visit frequency increasing by 9.2% year-on-year and average spend rising by 10.7%, driven significantly by favourable weather conditions.
