Rounders and Softball

Back in May Knole students really got into the swing of things as they battled to see which house would strike out first. The weather held beautifully and we had a great day competing. Here are just a few of the highlights…

What a fantastic day! After some tough competition the final results were as follows:

Both the rounders and softball competitions were played in good spirits, congratulations to Khan on their victory. I know students cannot wait to go again next year.

Year 7 Many of the year 7 students hadn’t played much softball before so it was great to see how quickly the picked it up and you could tell that rounders was popular in their primary schools as competition on the other half of the field was fierce.

Rounders Winners were Attenborough. Player of the match was awarded to Sam. Softball Winners were Khan. Player of the match was awarded to Ewan.

Year 8 Year 8 are arguably the ‘sportiest’ year group we currently have at Knole which led to some fantastic matchups.

The rivalry between players was epic to watch, it is clear that students are proud to play for their houses namesake. Rounders winners were Khan. Player of the match was Dolcie.

Softball winners were Lee and the player of the match was Charlie. Year 9 With a few years of experience under their belts the year 9 tournament stepped the technical ability up a notch. It was a perfect opportunity for students to flex a little hitting some huge home runs in the process and it was a team of 3 who eventually came out on top in the softball. Somehow, even without a full team, they managed to always be in the right place at the right time, unbelievable! Rounders winners were Khan. Player of the match was awarded to Reece.

Softball Winners were Rudolph. Player of the match was awarded to Jimmy. Year 10 Here it was all about bragging rights on the playground. Winning was a must to all of those who participated. Every game was high tempo and the ball flew around like a laser guided missile. You could tell the pressure was getting to a few, catches started to be dropped and the patience of a few eager teammates were definitely tested. Rounders winners were Khan. Player of the match was awarded to Caitlyn. Softball Winners were Khan. Player of the match was awarded to Lewis D.
