A Well Rounded Experience Sixth Form Committee This group of elected representatives meets every week to discuss a wide range of affairs: social events, charity fundraising and common room facilities. Many students are given positions of responsibility, as Head Boy and Head Girl, Senior Prefects and Chair of the Sixth Form Committee itself. Be ready to take an active part! We encourage different ideas and views; every opinion is listened to and gives much variety to our Sixth Form community. And more‌ Sixth Formers may also take on responsibilities, such as helping younger children to develop their reading and assisting in particular subject areas. Sixth Form students are also encouraged to take part in the sporting and creative life of the school, whatever courses they are taking. We welcome Sixth Formers to our sports teams, choir, band, orchestra and school productions.

Parental contact Parents are kept fully informed of progress through Parents’ evenings and regular reports sent home. Our tutors, subject teachers and Head of Sixth Form also readily liaise with parents regarding any issues that may arise outside of these times.

Helping you Reach your Potential Sixth Form Tutors As part of our caring ethos, all students are organised into Sixth Form Tutor groups. The tutors meet students daily and are the first and main advisers in both academic and pastoral matters; tracking students’ progress on a monthly basis, tutors may also offer extra support and guidance. Working with the Head of Sixth Form, the tutor also writes the university or employment references. Tutors are also able to give expert advice on such issues as study skills, option choices and careers. In addition there will always be a senior member of staff on hand in the Sixth Form area ready to give help and reassurance.
