“Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; make it hot by striking” - William B. Sprague Cleveland,
The mission has not changed. In fact, the level of energy, motivation and determination by those of us in every part of your Cleveland Cavaliers franchise has never been higher or stronger. We will play to win. Every season. Every game. Every minute. Why? You. The thousands of emails, letters, notes, phone calls and words of support you shared with us this past summer has fueled every one of us with a further heightened sense of will-power and grit to deliver the incredibly loyal and passionate fans of the Cavaliers the ultimate prize. That prize is an NBA championship. No fan base deserves it more. No city deserves it more. Words will never express the gratitude and appreciation for the overwhelming support and confidence you showered upon this franchise over the past few months. There will be nothing we do not explore. There will be no amount of time, capital, brain-power or ingenuity we will not invest if we believe it will contribute to our chances of success. The train has left. It will not stop until it pulls into “Larry O’Brien Station #1”. I am looking forward to enjoying the ride with you. Onward and upward.

Cleveland vs. toronto Tipoff: 7:00
pm, Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011
Tonight, the Cleveland Cavaliers will play the Toronto Raptors for the second time this season. In the first meeting on Oct. 29th, the Cavs shot 9-19 (.474) from long distance with the bench adding 52 points, but it wasn’t enough, as the Raptors won 101-81 in Toronto. Antawn Jamison finished with 13 points for the Cavs, while Andrea Bargnani scored 20 points for the Raptors. Cleveland has won 11 straight home games against Toronto and leads the all-time series 34-25. The Cavaliers have been solid at sharing the ball as of late, averaging 24.6 assists in the five games played from Dec. 18-28. The team’s leading assist man has been Mo Williams, who is averaging 10.6 assists over his last seven games. He is also scoring 17.6 points and grabbing 4.0 rebounds in 37.9 minutes per game over that span. After tonight’s contest, the Cavs will head out west for a five-game road trip and will return home on Jan. 19 to face the Phoenix Suns. The Raptors lead the league in fast break points at 20.4 per game. They also average 44.8 points in the paint and are only giving up 12.1 second chance points per game. The Cavaliers are right in front of them, allowing just 11.9 in second chance opportunities (6th in NBA). Toronto’s leading scorer is Andrea Bargnani, who is averaging 21.2 points per game. The Cavs and Raptors will meet one more time this season on April 6 at Air Canada Centre.
Cavs guard Mo Williams has averaged 17.6 points and 10.6 assists over his last seven games.
