Clemson finished the season with a 20-11 overall record and a 9-5 ledger in the ACC. The Lady Tigers were ranked 13th in the final USA Today poll after advancing to the S w e e t 1 6 of the NCAA Tournament. They received a firstround bye in the national event and met 10th-ranked Georgia in the second round. Clemson knocked off the Lady Bulldogs, 78-65, for the program’s first win in the NCAA Tournament after two previous tries. The victory advanced the Lady Tigers to the semifinals of the Mideast Regional where they fell to Auburn, the #2 ranked team in the nation, by a 71-60 margin. Clemson reached the semifinals of the ACC Tournament before dropping a 93-86 decision to 14thranked NC State. Louise Greenwood totaled 32 points in the Lady Tigers’ two games while Ramona O’Neal added 31, including a team-best 26 against the Wolfpack. Greenwood and Michelle Bryant earned All-ACC Second Team honors that season. Louise Greenwood became only the second player in Clemson history to score more than 1,200 points and have over 800 rebounds in a career. Greenwood finished her career with 1,268 points and 859 rebounds.

Clemson won 11 of its final 14 games, including seven regular season victories over conference opponents. The Lady Tigers’ nine ACC wins tied a school record for most ACC wins in a season. Five starting seniors, Louise Greenwood, Michelle Bryant, Ramona O’Neal, Karen Ann Jenkins, and Becky Hollaway scored 1,669 of the 2,292 points that Clemson registered and accounted for 832 of Clemson’s 1,243 rebounds that season.
