Tretin Cream (Generic Tretinoin Cream)

Contraindications

Tretin Cream is contraindicated in patients with a hypersensitivity to Tretinoin, hypersensitivity to retinoids or any inactive ingredient present in the cream.

Tretinoin preparations have been reported to cause severe irritation of eczematous skin and should only be used with the utmost caution in patients with this condition.

Tretin Cream should not be used in patients with a personal or family history of skin cancer.

Storage Instructions

Tretin cream (Generic Tretinoin 0.025% and 0.05% cream) have to be stored at controlled room temperature i.e. from 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) with excursions permitted between 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F). Keep this as well as all other medicines away from children and pets.

Warnings

Tretin cream 0.025% and 0.05% should not be used on eczematous or sunburned skin due to potential for severe irritation. Avoid unprotected exposure to sunlight when using Tretinoin Gel 0.05% due to potential for increased photosensitization. Use sunscreen of at least SPF 15 and protective clothing during exposure.

Avoid use of Tretinoin cream with weather extremes, such as wind or cold due to potential for increased irritation.

Use Tretin cream 0.025% and 0.05% with caution if allergic to fish due to potential for allergenicity to fish protein. Patients who develop pruritus or urticaria should contact their health care provider.
