How Should I Use Sildenafil Citrate Tablets?

For most patients aged 65 or younger, the recommended dose is 50 mg taken, as needed, approximately 1 hour before sexual activity. The dose is 25 mg for people aged 65 or older. However, Sildenafil may be taken anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours before sexual activity. The medication is not approved for use by anyone under the age of 18.

Sildenafil should not be taken more than once per day, as the medication can take up to 24 hours to leave your system fully.
