HOUSE RULES 1) On the Boat • Conserve Water. Use as little as possible when taking a shower. • Maintain tidiness at all times. Place your belongings on a specific corner or area and keep it clean and secure. • Know where the emergency kits or first aid kits are. • Hydrate yourself. Ambient temperature can range from 29°C - 36°C during summer. • Waste disposal. Minimize garbage and do not throw overboard. Containers or plastic bags will be provided. It will be disposed once we dock in Baclayon.

2) During the Survey • DO NOT SLEEP while on-effort. • DO NOT FALL from the boat. Moving around while the boat is running can be challenging to some. • NO TALKING while on-effort. On effort means, observers are on active search for cetaceans. You may use your music players though. • Use the binoculars at all times to search the area. • Observers at rest may do whatever they want as long as they don’t disturb the members on duty. This is the time to attend to personal stuffs like use of the restroom, sleeping, eating. • Observers at rest should not alert the members on active search if they see animals. It will jeopardize the assumptions of the methodology. • Secure the binoculars provided on your neck. We don not want essential equipment overboard. • Attend to your assigned task with commitment. • Secure all the equipment at the end of each day. Wash them with clean, freshwater to prevent salt deposition.
