Anthony Hallmon
’16 Anthony Hallmon is a native of Orangeburg, S.C. He earned his associate degree in Mortuary Science from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Services. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and sociology from Claflin University. Hallmon’s passion for helping others and advocating for his community shows throughout his daily work. He is the Director of Community Outreach for Bamberg, LLC, and Anthony has over 14 years of experience in funeral service where he currently works with Glovers Funeral Home of Orangeburg, S.C. Hallmon is the co-owner of Garden City Consulting, LLC, a political consulting company. Through Garden City Consulting, Anthony has managed two successful campaigns that led to two young African American men being elected -- State Representative Justin Bamberg for House District 90 and Willie Aiken for Jasper County Coroner. Hallmon’s other affiliations include being an active member of the Delta Zeta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, where

he serves as the Recording Secretary. He is also the director of community relations for the South Carolina District of Alpha Phi Alpha. Hallmon is a member of the Olive Masonic Lodge #477. He is an advisory board member for the Orangeburg Consolidated School District Technology Center Business Department (Orangeburg). Anthony is a major contributor to the Orangeburg County Democratic Party. He serves as the executive committeeman and co-chair of the annual Betty Henderson’s Candidates and Elected Officials Cook-off. Hallmon also serves on the Committee for Caucus Organization, Operations, and Bylaws for the South Carolina Democratic Party. He is a 2020 graduate of the James E. Clyburn Political Fellowship. Hallmon was recently elected to serve on the board of the Felton Laboratory Charter School. He is a member of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association. Hallmon is the COO and chairman of the board for Cultivating Leaders, a mentoring organization based in Orangeburg County.
