The idea is to expose students to the genre and give them opportunities to flex their performing muscle through solo work on song/s selected for (and with) each individual student. This will not be a competitive environment, but rather, an educational one. All students will receive individual coaching and instruction on preparing their selections, with the emphasis on learning how to interpret and portray the meaning and/or objective of the song, and how to “act through” it. This is a great opportunity, in a non-threatening and non-competitive environment, to learn the skills needed for performing in a musical.
