ESTABLISHED: 1992 MISSION: A Child’s Haven is a 501(c)(3) organization that treats children with developmental delays as a result of limited resources, abuse, or neglect, and provides support and education for their families. VISION: Children in our community are thriving with families that nurture their success.
Therapeutic treatment center On the surface, it looks like a childcare center, but A Child’s Haven (ACH) is so much more. For 28 years they have provided healing therapy for at-risk, young children with social and emotional challenges while fortifying their families and strengthening our community. ACH breaks the cycles of abuse, neglect and poverty with multi-generational, mental health treatment. Trained educators and clinicians serve young victims of abuse and neglect in specialized classroom settings. All of the children in treatment have been kicked out of mainstream childcare settings and many live with adult caregivers who suffered childhood abuse and neglect. ACH’s licensed clinical social workers treat those families in their homes and work to strengthen the entire
family unit. ACH therapies equip families with behaviors and skills that keep children in their homes and out of foster care. Children move on to success in traditional classrooms, and caregivers find stability that allows them to live and work productively, making them contributing members of society. There are many ways to invest in the future of our community and support ACH. Financial gifts are always welcome, but ACH also welcomes volunteers and donations of diapers, pull-ups, clothing, cleaning items and lightly-used home goods.
